I am seriously the same way about shots! LOL I never minded them; even as a kid.

I don't know if I could injections. I'm a tattoo artist and planning on learning piercings but for some reasons a liquid going in my body with a needle is just a very uncomfortable thought. But hey its pretty badass ! lol

Hi! Yes. I can talk about it more in depth in the next video, but basically before going on T, I had fears of "over-masculinizing" myself. To me, "going too far" was becoming too masculine. I'm still not even really sure what that means to me, but I think I was mostly scared of losing myself or getting too far away from what I wanted to look like.

@Hannah Radeke thank you so much, for this. For your video about it. I can relate a lot and that’s why I asked originally. I think the binary world we live in can be really hard on our processes to really understand our nature and gender without fear. I would love to share more. Both anxiety (which you had talked and interested me a lot, related or not to period cycles) and this fear are things I go trough and believe it is a plus to share our experiences about and feel stronger.

I wouldn't celebrate regular injecting practice on TH-cam (far too many blatantly obvious negative associations) and it's certainly not okay to even consider giving advice about injecting practice without relevant recognised qualifications.
Elizabeth Holmes (the Theranos girl) might be helpful as a good example of developing an approximation of a sort of false tenor delivery.

Hi there! Thanks for your concern. For anyone who doesn't know a lot about testosterone injections, it can seem scary, but for a lot of trans people, having that kind of treatment can be affirming and even lifesaving. For all of the "negative associations" that injections might have, think about all of the positive ones too (insulin, pain medications after surgery, etc.)! For me, injecting testosterone has allowed me to feel more comfortable in my body, and I think that's worthy of celebrating.
You're right--I don't have the expertise to teach someone how to do their own injections, but what I can share is my own experience, including some pieces of information that the nurse shared with me during my injection training, with the hopes that what's helped me may help others.
I'm familiar with Elizabeth Holmes but wasn't aware of her fake deep voice until looking it up! Made me laugh! Seems like it would be uncomfortable to keep that up though. It's also pretty apparent when someone's faking it, don't you think? I'm thankful testosterone has lowered my voice naturally to a point where I'm actually comfortable with it. Another thing to celebrate!
