John Beaudin has been in major market radio (Edmonton, Vancouver & Calgary) for 38 years and a music journalist since 1989. He graduated from Broadcasting school as a newsman so he would have the skills to write about the artists that inspired him since he bought his first Elton John album as a teen. In the '80s Beaudin was the host of the syndicated radio show ‚”The Cross Canada Report‚” which had two versions (Rock and A/C). Beaudin was also asked to be a judge at the Juno Awards (Canada's answer to the Grammys) Twice. He has anchored every position in radio including morning and afternoon drive and was a Program and Music Director for The Breeze and California 103 in Calgary. He currently hosts the evening show at Move 103.5 (formerly QM-FM) in Vancouver and on iHeartRadio.

The only thing I can say to Kenny is thank you. In the '70s the ladies just adored HAPC. Didn't hurt I sound just like you. That song got m..uh, I made a lot of friends playing your music.

I love House at Pooh Corner. I heard it first on Full House. How normal rock star. LOL. Bought a BMW and his parents a house. Can't get and greater than that. I love Kenny and his stories. Thanks for the interviews John.

I went to one of his concerts a couple years ago. It was a story-time/interview/music show, and I also bought his memoir book. He said thatthe song almost didn’t get recorded because by the time he had it fully completed and edited, Disney had bought the rights to Winnie the Pooh, and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band were being given polite threats. His girlfriend at the time told him to talk with her dad. Apparently he was some CEO of a division at Disney. Kenny sat on the carpet in front of him with a guitar and sang the song, and the guy liked it so much he put in a word for him, and so he got the rights to record it.

Sooooo, how old was Kenny when Loggins & Messina hit or did "sitting in?" From this it sounds like he was a teenager.
So that's where Kenny loggins got the inspiration to write song The House of Pooh corner.
And who knows, he might have read some of the original AA Milne books. And probably watched the original Disney animated movies of Winnie the Pooh
Without House at Pooh Corner at my age then.....I never would have owned up to watching some Winnie the Pooh 🎶✌
