Yeah I really want to see someone do this w/ the pack installed. It’s almost like EA decided to punish those of us who paid for the pack. Yeah it’s cute to hit the milestones but after a while …. 😫 Still, we did ask for better babies which ultimately means more to do.
I noticed through my own gameplay that the problem with the sim not doing what you direct them to do is with the infant. My sim would just stand there and not do anything because they were waiting for the infant to finish looking at the bin or whatever. Found it easier to cancel what the infant was doing so the adult sim could complete their actions.
Yeah I have noticed that. But some of my Sims are just dumb, I would say. As they stop doing what I tell them to do and then they will do something random. Like walk outside. And look at something.
😂 Tips for everyone just getting the pack. It’s easier to control the caregiver from the baby’s perspective. Control the baby and click on the bath and it will tell your caregiver to give a bath. It’s much quicker.
I feel you girl. I was so angry watching your stupid Sim crossing off literally all of your commands - while there was an infant-geddon happening all around her. It really hurt - but now I'm wondering, if she'd behave the same, if she had a highend parenting skill.
Yes she will, it's the priority system that's doing it. The exact same issue that's been plaguing high chairs from the start. Basically infant and toddler requests are a higher priority than player directed actions, so if a toddler asks "take me out of the high chair" the sim ignores everything else and takes the toddler out. Now with infants, every little infant request is law. Makes it a lot easier to take care of infants if you control the infant and request help from your caregiver than the other way around.
I have learned that if you have any guests that stay over, you can use the infant to ask the stay over guests to help so it gives the parents a bit of time to take care of their own needs.
If anyone tries this.. Or even having a big family.. Dance machine trait. 2 sim hours with a disco nap is over half a bar of energy :) Every sim of mine now gets that trait.
I can barely play with 1 infant and two parents. This is incredible lol Im waiting for some of the bugs to be worked out before fully playing with growing together.
Do you have the pack installed by any chance? While there are bugs for certain, the infants base game is much easier than with the ex pack. So if you’re having a hard time with one infant and 2 parents, the pack makes infants much more high maintenance than just base.
@Christine Towery Yeah I do. Not gonna lie, I didn't even get my infant to the crawling stage before I got bored and switched to a different save. That's just me of course, hopefully everyone else is having a great time. But im definitely going to wait a bit before creating an entire family. Like Brit said, the sims just don't do what you want. And they set the infant absolutely anywhere!
@@indiafox5786 yeah the Sims not doing what they are supposed to makes that far more frustrating. I hope they get that fixed because that just feels like a grind, constantly asking them to do the same thing multiple times because they cancelled it out. 🤦🏼♀️ The infants especially with the pack are a handful enough without the bugs. Lol
@Christine Towery I agree 100%! The bugs are bad too! That's why I got so bored. I was just telling my sims to do the same damn thing multiple times. My new save isn't even in the new city 🤣. Why did I pre order this expansion pack again? Lol
@@indiafox5786 I know, it’s a lot and with the bugs it’s just nothing but wanting to pull your hair out lol. I hope they can make it somewhat of a challenge (there is that balance between boredom and full on frustration), but it needs to be manageable. 2 Sims and one infant is hell enough right now, 100 baby challenge is impossible with these bugs for sure! Lol

Oh my gosh, me too. It sucks because they were living on a farm and ALL of my crops and cows, lamas chickens had to go tothe household inventory until the twins grew up to children and could take care of themselves. I usually don't have a problem with toddlers and farming but infants are a handful
@@douxfaerie8069 that is EXACTLY what i did😭 i had made that couple specifically to try it, and that happened. so i just CAS'ed a parent and infant, just to find out I couldve tried having one sim do it by science 🙃
This was painstaking sis. I can't. I have very little interest in dealing with infants in this game. After the update, my mods and cc clashed and my game was glitching so I created a test household with 2 infants and an adult to make sure things were working right as I added back my mods. I wanted to pull my hair out so many times and just destroy those annoying buggers. But... I definitely had to cheat a lot of the sims needs to get thru my testing smoothly. And after that, I have no intent on playing with infants in general. 1 per household is more than enough
Something I figured out in my game is that changing their onesies helps them stop crying if there doesn't seem to be any other issue... unless that was a one off
i wonder if turning off autonomy would help?? my guess is the toddlers kept asking her for stuff so it made her respond. IDK why the infants have priority over the adult sim tho i think it needs a patch lolol im so sorry u went thru this 😭
So I found out the main source of the infants food is either bottle or boob and food is just for fun so that’s why their hunger doesn’t get full only from the food in the high chair (which makes sense cause irl food before one just for fun)
This is absolutely crazy idea! I seemed these infants was going to drive you crazy at first! I have one infant in real life and honestly it is not easy. Parents who have twins are really heros. But six infants even in the sims 4 are too much. And you made a really right decision not to do such experiment any more
Finally someone points out the biggest issue with this pack (although there are many) is with the glitches. Gameplay is so much more stressful and not fun bc the adults can’t properly care for the infants, who’s needs are constantly going down. Go EA
Yay best time of the day! Jilly was just channeling her inner Pigpen nbd 😆 I've noticed lately that queuing up actions tends to muck up the actions currently being performed. I've had a bunch of actions queued up and they'll get like halfway thru one task and it stops and then they'll switch to the next one before they've completed the current action. So it doesn't fully complete. Not sure if that's that might be an issue here but it's something I've noticed that needs don't get properly filled when I do this
I did an experiment where the mom had 3 toddlers and 4 infants. It was impossible to even take care of one because the mom wouldn't respond to any commands. I'd direct her to feed the babies and she'd literally walk past him and go sit down for a whole Sims hour. EA needs to get it together
The thing about this is TWO parents with one infant is stressful enough for me. The infant has a need and yesterday the dad kept picking her up and putting her back down OVER AND OVER again! It was so frustrating I was yelling at them to stop. By the time they got to changing her she had a diaper rash because she was sensitive. With one it's hard enough but 6? I'd be proper stressed out with this many. Also, why did you say 10 infants when there's only 6? Typo maybe?
I’m thinking typo. Remember she’s using this without the pack, the pack makes it much harder to care for infants because they have to reach milestones to crawl, sit in the high chair etc. Do you have the pack installed? Still hard without the pack to have one sim and 6 babies as we can see lol.
When they do that, reset them, tell them to do what you need them to do, and then give them another task that doesn't involve the infant immediately after that. First time that happened to me, mom almost passed out
@@johntheherbalistg8756 you tell me to reset them like that actually works. I've done it a million times before. Trust me, it doesn't work and the problem still happens.

I think I heard somewhere that they made the adult sims autonomy super sensitive so that they take care of infant needs before their own. Im also wondering if the actions being queued up aren’t a glitch but just a matter of controlling the infants actions. Just a thought because I know my infant is always asking for the adult’s attention so I just keep them busy with toys unless their needs are decaying or if I have time to play with them
I started with two adults, two infants, and one child. I had to hire a nanny the second day just so my adults could sleep lol. It's so hard when they haven't hit any milestones.
Since the explore food is just exploring it, they don't really get full and either need several jars or a bottle, hence the feeding animation. They are infants after all. But somehow it's easier to control the caregivers by controlling the infant, so that's also interesting
This is the first one where I really feel like you're trapped in the game with them. The video title could have been, "I forced myself and 6 infants to spend 48 hours with Dina"
I think they need to make 2 adjustments right away, make the infants needs fall more slowly and most importantly fix it so the sims do what they are told, especially if autonomy is off.
My favorite glitch is when I put my kid to bed... And then it attaches to my sims foot... All well and good until wicked whims gets involved and baby is under the sofa. 😂
Sometimes, when Sims just stand around even after giving them a series of tasks, it's because another Sim has them in their list of to-dos. So I usually do a quick look around to see any other Sim just standing around seemingly waiting also. So if Dina is just standing around even after giving her tasks to do, it could be because one or several of the infants are trying to get her attention.
First birth after the update and pack release I had was with triplets. I have aged them to infants and haven't been back in my game since. Most due to being sick, working and managing my real life household.
Please do it again with the expansion haha 😅.. Edit....omg wait until someone mods the pointless autonomous taking care of children while you are telling them to do something
I’m enjoying the base game update! I think with two parents, one toddler and one infant is my max though lol or maybe I could do it if I had a teen to help out
You should do a side-by-side competition. Identical houses. Yep very different Adult sims. 4 toddlers each - make sure they’re cloned so the adults get the same infants. Then just watch them. Whoever gets all 4 infants taken away first loses.

Like they don't take care of the infants at all, crazy routing issues. I'm waiting until they fix it to play with them.
You did a great job, and would be easier to have a second parent or a butler to lend a hand. Also clicking on the parent from the infant makes the adult sim get to the task faster than clicking on the infant... don't ask me why but it helps! Love your experiments so much!
With infants, I put them in the crib at night and just let them nap in the floor during the day Also, I'm doing an experiment with infants. I'm only having the infants active and controlling the parents through the infants. It's insane. Sometimes I have to take control of the adults to handle their needs or they'll die
Dude i really really hope a fix comes in soon, my sims are constantly crossing off so many commands or just standing around like a dumbass or even just merging with damn walls 😭 I love so many aspects of the new pack but it's so frustrating to even deal with
I had 3 infants wit 3 mothers in one house. It kept all 3 mothers up all night. Finally I gave every infant it's own room and locked the door for everybody except the mother, because all these mothers did everything wrong to keep them happy. Together these infants kept each other awake in the same room, so it was better to seperate them.
I wouldn't buy a crib and just playmats. I would feed them even when not hungry and bathe them at different times for example. My intense infant would be tended to first wash bathe feed play mat. My sunny and calm would be the last just because they won't be as upset and I can do more with them.
What would happen if you had a sim with full parenting skill take care of an infant but without you telling them to do anything just them do it on their own.
I feel lucky after reading these comments. I'm so sorry for the bugs 😢. For some reason my Sims actually do indeed do what I say UNLESS basemental mod butts in. And it does. A lot. It's always the uh water pipe and the trippin that make them stop mid action 😅. But once I send them to rehab and empty their pockets I'll be able to have full control 😆 🤣

I played as a single parent and 1 infant. I had to quit my job and do freelance stuff to get through the infant stage.
I wouldn't buy a crib and just playmats. I would feed them even when not hungry and bathe them at different times for example. My intense infant would be tended to first wash bathe feed play mat. My sunny and calm would be the last just because they won't be as upset and I can do more with them.
Glen and Bruno were taking the piss the whole video
My sim had to go and have twins and omg those two infants were such a handful
I'm glad I already had my kids before I watched this video.
These names for the babies are such old people names 😂
EA know they're wrong for this when Freeplay had infants like this/the expansion for a while now......for free 😭
What would happen if you had a sim with full parenting skill take care of an infant but without you telling them to do anything just them do it on their own.
I did 7 infant challenge gosh it was so hard I had to listen to music it was so noisy 🤣
i thought that grey big box was the house and the house was a Prison 😂

i hate infants so much, I have no idea what's so hard about them but particularly but if you have more than one you're doomed
Is there infants in the ps4 I only have the sims4 on that console
how did u get them to start crawling so soon? or was this before growing together came out?

Show us 10 level of parenting, please!
