Great video - just a small correction: Bruce was not the starter SF, that was MPJ. Bruce was the 6th man - what might have confused the matter a bit is that he usually filled in and started for both MPJ and Murray when they weren't able to play.
Now, on a final note: wouldn't it be interesting if Indiana, by trading the 29th pick to the Nuggets, ended up giving them the piece they use to successfully replace Bruce Brown, and only for a small fraction of the cost they'll be paying him? It's more likely Bruce's production will be replaced by committee, but still...
Cheers!
came to say exactly this.
I have no idea why the hell I even forgot about MPJ starting at the time I was writing and recording, completely omitting that fact. Just a silly mistake hahaha, thank you for your correction and I'm glad you enjoyed the video !
@@beezhoops It's OK, he's only 6'10", kinda easy to miss... :D
But hey, just the fact you're not perpetuating the bad "Nuggets doomed for losing Bruce Brown" narrative already more than makes up for it.
Cheers!

THEY NOT ONLY DOOOOOMED THEY STAT PAD!!!!! Speaking of that, as teams pick their poison I hope AG breaks the season slam record and whatever else records this padding squad can break… make the haters crazy.
Jokic is a master when it come to unlocking lightskins potential
Ooooon Gaaaaaaaaaaaawd lol
Lol
Lol wtf type comment is this . I’m mad 36 of y’all like this oddly racist comment 😅
@@kingmontre5635 how tf is it racist
@kingmontre5635 stg how could anyone take this as racist. 😂 its just a funny ass joke because Jok raises his teammates floors, and a lot of em happen to be lightskins
Strawther has impressed me a lot. Nuggets been great at drafting these past couple years. Bones, Braun, watson, gillespie, strawther, tyson, pickett.
Bruce was our 6th man not starter
he's going to be extremely tough. im surprised he fell so far in the draft, he gives me real kevin martin vibes
Kmart is a great comp!
Bruce brown was not the starting small forward. Starting line up was jokic, Murray, Gordon, KCP and MPJ
Bruce Brown was our 6th man, Mike Malone called him our 6th starter. MPJ has been the Nuggets starting SF for 2-4 years now. Christian Braun already has the 6th man spot locked down. The young guys are fighting for minutes. This is for our 7-9 spots.
He’s a zag floaters are in his blood
New STAR Rises!
It's funny to me how everyone is thinking we got weaker. That our bench got worst and how we gonna fall this season. Which makes me laugh because our bench last season was the 2nd worst in the league just behind tanking San Antonio. We can only get better that last season
We letting those people keep believing that and then we gonna hit them with a haymaker of Braun,Strawther,PWatson and Zeke finally having a full healthy season.
My only issue with Julian is that he's predictable. Per example if you look at the highlights of the video when Julian got it and he have to dribble it he favor his left hand to grab it and shoot it. It seem like he can't shoot going to his right. Every time he got the ball on his right, but cross it to his left before shooting it which is a bit awkward, but hey. The shot are falling so all good
I saw his game or two with Gonzaga. He was something else. Now he's in Denver. We'll see. Hope for the best.
Been a Gonzaga fan for 30 years. I was shocked that Julian nearly slipped out of the first round
Couldn't be in a better spot though. Denver, out of all the teams in the league, plays true team ball. Also getting fed by Jokic and Murray will show all his strengths. We'll see what he's got
He reminds me of Derrick White from Boston.
Bruce was not the starter. He was the 6th man.
CB0 Pwat and this kid are the reason why calvin booth and we fans arent tripping all that much about losing brown. 3 6'7 SG/SF who can guard 1-4, ball handle and can lockdown on the perimeter. Pwat can play PF with Gordon on small ball too. We'll be goochi
AG Won't play Small Ball or C during the Season. That plan is saved for Playoffs only
@@RomnysGonzalezagreed. They know it works in playoff so won't use it during season.
Another reason is while I love Brucey and Unc Jeff, the bench was horsespit last year. Almost last.
Bruce played really well on first unit replacing Murray, KCP, MPJ but then again, who doesn't? He made taking out starters easier. But on a stand alone 2nd unit, he didn't make a difference. Playoffs is a different story though with an 8man bench.
Getting a 6th man that can complement and fit with the starters is going to be easier than getting a competent stand-alone 2nd unit with or without Jamal. If they end up just becoming an average NBA bench it would a huge benefit and literally anything they do has to be better than being amongst the worst bench in NBA. It literally can't be worse than last year.
Obviously they aren’t freaking out about losing Bruce Brown. Bruce played a few good games in the playoffs but he’s easily replaceable. Pacers over paid for him but they can as they are such a young team.
@@RomnysGonzalez yeah but if Zeke can't stay healthy then in some situations AG will be used. Malone might not trust huff off rip and DJ can't always hang with the younger faster , smaller 5s out there.
Dude plays like Klay
Julian is going be a problem in the NBA let’s go Puerto Rico I’m happy we got a good player in the NBA straight from Puerto Ric
He’s not even Puerto Rican at all, he’s only half and lived his whole life in the US
@@f.r.etling6226 why are you talking about? What do you think he plays for Puerto Rico World Cup basketball team. He don’t want to represent USA. l🤣🤣🤣 he went to represent his island
Jokic is a variation/evolution of the long line of over sized (for their time) pass first play makers. Oscar R, Magic, Pippen, Kidd, Ben Simmons and Lamelo Ball. They are best paired with an unstoppable clutch scorer who can defend quite well. Kareem, Jordan, Dirk and KD.
You name some players but not Bron 😂 Ben Simmons, pippen and lamelo really
Hey I think he might be the steal of the draft for real for real.
It might be in the rookie second team if in the first team boyy Nuggets dynasty might really come
Nice video from a denver fan
beez is cooking
Bruce Brown was "The 6th starter" played more guard than forward. He will be replaced by committee.
Bruce Brown Josh Okogie Alex Caruso
Gary Payton II Luguentz Dort Jrue these type of player 6'4 and under but play much bigger and can defend bigger guys
In no way was Bruce the starting small forward
Next Reggie Miller! I said it first.
I WAS THINKING THE SAME THING
i dont think people understand how important bruce brown was for the nuggets last year. their best players in order over the course of the championship run were jokic, murray, gordon, brown (sometimes brown outplayed gordon though)...then a bit of a drop off..then kcp, then mpj...another drop off....christain braun, jeff green. i think brown is better and more impactful than kcp and has a higher ceiling as a player, he added a different punch to the nuggets last year as a slasher and leaper. you'd blink and he was in the lane dunking over someone. he could gaurd three positions well on D and play 3 positions well on offense which is super rare. Im gonna miss him very much pacers fans are lucky and im genuinely concered about denver's ability to repeat without him, thats how important he was to the run last year. at the very least denver won't go 16-4 in the playoffs without him.
Btw although i think brown is overall a better, more versatile player than kcp I do think kcp fits better in the starting lineup for the nuggets as a more consistent floor spacer.
Gotta remember though, braun was a rookie last year. Similar playstyle to brown but a lot faster and arguably more aggressive. Braun will replace him and add more I think. The bench is a lot deeper than what it sounds like
Don’t be ridiculous. Bruce Brown is easily replaceable lol.
@Jsch23
I can understand your sentiment. But I think defensively, the bench will be much better than last year. The question is the offense. Watson and Braun aren't great shooters and ball handlers. And that's where Strawther comes in. Strawther can play the backup 2 or 3, shoot lights out, and was able to showcase a bit of on ball ability. The wing trio is Braun, Watson, and Strawther is very interesting. Then you add in Zeke Nnaji. Murray can stagger with the bench as a scorer and facilitator too. So if we're going with this 2nd unit, I think the offense can be above average while the defense can become very versatile. I also like the idea of a Strawther and MPJ lineup. That level of firepower from 3 along with a playmaker is going to be fun to watch. Bruce Brown is a very good player, but I think Nuggets can find a way to replace him by committee.
Not a big deak but you're mispronouncing Gonzaga its zaga jot zauga
It will be reggie jackson who will have a bigger role now that brown has moved on.
Porter joker Gordon Murray and kcp
So my boy MPJ dont Exist lmfaooo
I completely forgot I have no idea how 🤣🤣🤣
Bruce came off the bench
Bruce was a 6th man. Watch the games if you're gonna make videos about the nuggets.
Wow, I can't believe this rookie is that good already. The whole package and taller than bruce brown, so that's a plus to guard bigger guard, shoot over, rebound, defense etc... Denver is definetly the favorite again this year to repeat. But, some teams are right behind them to contend like the Suns 3 headed monsters, The bucks and the celtics are the other strongest team to have a shot. Of course that is if they are all healthy when comes the playoffs, otherwise other teams can come to contest.
Starting forward? What? Why tell lies?
