Tbh - like many have said - I also like the group better as a trio. No stank energy. Maybe cause they’re closer in age and were initially friends? Anyway, you go girls! You just need to up the styling now…hire someone who has access to real fashion. SWV listened to y’all’s critique and look at them now. They look hella good!
Tiny and mostly kandi always watching tamika on stage even on the great xscape tour tamika broke down quiet a few times and kandi would hold her close and if tiny noticed she give her a pat on the back and ask if she was okay I don’t know if she was going through anything then or if she’s just a really emotional person when she performs like Fantasia but I been noticed that protective eye they keep on her when they perform

I was in the building and had I not known the drama of the show or the history of Xscape, then as a trio with this formation WORKS. Tamika is a true powerhouse. Kandi’s is heavily critiqued as a vocalist but her voice is like a cup of coffee with the right amount of cream: still robust, warm with sweet moments. Tiny’s voice is so angelic. I’m PISSED that they weren’t headlining because after they were done and Brian McKnight came out, a lot of people dipped. 🥴🤭
I laughed at 7:40 when Tamika forgot she was supposed to be doing Tocha's part. I love her and her confidence is growing singing Tocha's part at each show. She said she struggles with nerves and remembering Tocha's parts. She is holding it down vocally and the show is amazing. Love these ladies.
I’m happy the world is learning this because as a vocalist, I’ve always known it, and the group members know it too! Tamika has some serious voice! I do think she needs a coach because she’s use to singing the tenor part of the harmony, which takes notes to minor tons. She’s gotta get use to singing soprano, which goes up to major on notes. This is an issue of habit…not ability.
Actually we have seen that they all can sing and Tamika is still singing like she did when they came out. This isn’t new. She never was looked at as the underdog🤷🏽♀️her skills was recognized then & now🤦🏽♀️they support each other. They’re not trying to show anyone who is the “BETTER singer. That’s ya’ll half fans. Simply put, there is a rivalry between Tocha and Kandi because Tocha is older, Kandi is the youngest, and Tocha was upset they gave Kandi all the leads when she can sing her ass off. Also, Tocha bullied her little sister and condescended her tons…did you realize Tamika doesn’t really have ANY lead parts? She was so selfless she said she was just happy to be a part. As a powerhouse singer myself who has been in many groups, I felt the same when younger and older guys with half of my voice tried that with me, only for me to eventually join a group of grown azz men who not just appreciate me, but, beg me to sing ALL parts, with me always carrying the most powerful and difficult Melodies Acapella…and my brothers can SING!!! Interestingly, it’s good Tamika didn’t have all the leads she deserved, because it makes their transition to a trio better! Also, amazing they’re sisters with similar tones, because Tocha is not MISSED by most.
