Another hack to avoid getting peed on is before you take off the dirty nappy wipe a baby wipe just above the nappy area, the coldness of the wipe usually makes them pee so it shouldn't go over you 😂
I feel like hack 10 also saves any embarrassing 'daddy picked my outfit' situations. My hubby is good at everything but putting co ordinated outfits together may not be a strong point. Makes their life easier and baby looking a bit more put together 😂 I'm in my first trimester so I'm super excited watching these kinds of videos!! Thanks Kate x
To be honest this is one of the most sensible new baby videos i have seen on TH-cam. Very clever thoughtful hacks. Though I know a few already, others are completely new and genius
My little girl is almost 5 months old & one thing I could not live without is puppy training pads! I put one on top of her changing mat, she loves to lay there and kick her legs about without a nappy on but that also means she often pee's everywhere! But they soak it up, I can just throw it away and get a new one next time without having to wash towels all the time! Also it's great because where they are material it's never cold to lay her on so she never fusses ❤️❤️xx
Sam Morris a cheaper alternative would be inco-sheets (they have some other names too) they look similar to a puppy pad but are designed for people with incontinence to go on beds. You can find them with Tena style products in boots etc
@@lucybrown8902 I'm a caregiver for a partially paralyzed stroke survivor. The incontinence pads are a bit larger and cheaper. However, when I cannot get them, I have bought the puppy pads instead.
My baby is due in Feb and I love the last tip. My nursery room is only going to be small but I do have a big cupboard in it so putting shoe storage on the back of my cupboard door for day to day outfits is genius!!! Thank you Kate ❤️❤️❤️❤️👶🏻
Thanks so much for doing such a helpful video. I'm due in 7 weeks and hadn't even thought about all of these things. You're a very calming influence and I don't feel quite so daunted having just watched this, thank you xo
For stubborn stains use a 1 to 4 solution of lemon juice to water and spritz it on the stain. Leave in the sun as suggested in the video and BAM all gone. I've used this on my cloth diapers and even they look like new
Regarding being hit in the face with pee when you change a nappy - another good way of preventing this is to use a wet wipe on their tummy before you take the old nappy off as it stimulates them to pee for a final time before the change. Then you can change the nappy as usual. Loved the last tip - defo doing that with the pocket hanger on the back of the door!
This is amazing! I usually steer clear of these videos as they're all really obvious and I've had a baby already (number 2 due in 4 months time - eek!). But some of these I have never thought of and they're so helpful! Cutting your baby's nails when they're asleep? That's genius!! I always worried so much about cutting my son's fingers when he was wriggling around. Thank you so much for these tips! 😘
Thank you so much for these fantastic ideas, I am due very soon with my first and I absolutely love your shoe organiser idea. I placed an order for one online as soon as I saw it. It will make getting ready so much easier! Thanks Kate xo
Love these hacks! My baby is 6 weeks old today and I had no idea vests came down over the body 🙈 my baby will forever thank you for no longer pulling poo over her head! Xx
The outfit storage idea is genius!. You could put one of those over the door organisers on the inside of your wardrobe. You could go mad and have one over each door lol. Ive heard of ppl using ziplock bags to pack toddler outfits in your suitcase on holiday. Its much the same idea. Love both those hacks.
Fab hacks! Thanks Kate! Loving this baby series. Baby no.2 is due next week and I'm just doing my final prep for everything. Your videos are coming in very handy! 👏🏼😍
having my first baby (boy) in less than 7 weeks and this video made me even more excited! and Elliot is sooooo cute!! Gave it a thumbs up because Im totally going to be referring back to this one! And great idea with the shoe organizer. I just got one the other day and started filling it up with randomness but the outfit ideas are GREAT! Thank you!
another one for the yellow poo stains... Napisan works reeealllly well! I just fill a tub with a few scoops of napisan and add some hot/warm water and soak the clothes for a few hours before popping them in the washing machine! Works best with whites, i haven't tried colours incase it bleaches or fades the colourings
I watched this video ages ago, but I'm now 32 weeks pregnant and suddenly remembered it this morning. I'm having a little boy and I knew you had a tip about the wee situation 😂LOVE the shoe organiser idea too. Thank you so much for this - very helpful!
The putting outfits in the shoe organiser hack is the best thing I've ever heard, totally genius! I'm tempted to do it for myself so I can have that extra half an hour in bed! :) Great video kate! x
I have never had a baby, I'm not pregnant, I don't intend on getting pregnant for a while yet but I am still just LOVING these videos, Kate! I'm pretty certain I will remember your hacks when I actually do have a baby and they're gonna be so useful! Also - my twin sister is due to have a baby girl in October so I will definitely be passing these tips on! :-) x x x
Great video! I loved especially the hack about the onesies , I never knew that you could do it that way... But it really makes sense, so thank you so much... I will definitely remember it the next time a bad situation happened 😀
My little girl is 11 weeks old and I've been struggling to get her wind up the whole time she just doesn't ever want to part with it 😂🙈 but both of your tips have really help! Especially the gently pushing down one...thank you so much 😂 x
Also an amazing product I use is the haakaa pump it's literally the best pump ever so gentle and I get tones of let down. Perfect for mamas with a lot of milk.
From the time my daughter was very young she had strong opinions on clothing. I preferred outfits that match. So as she grew I would sort outfits, socks, and underwear into separate ziplock bags. Placed in a bottom drawer she could choose her own outfit each day-an outfit that I know would not arouse public comment! Also as she got older and more active, little knit shorts under her cute dresses allowed her to be active and no one stressed over showing her panties.
I did the photos (hack number 6) with my son, but had a little black board saying the month and it was the constant to see his growth. Just started doing it with my daughter.
Thanks Kate! I'm about to have my first baby any day now. . . His due date is the 17th August🤗 and I've found this video very useful, Elliott is such a cute baby; congrats xx
My little boy is 1 week younger than Elliot and he too is hitting the 3-6 clothes already!! I was shocked. He's my second child aswell and breastfed this time also! I need to try that winding trick!
Got a 12 week old and I'm so happy you've told us about the vest trick! I no longer have to battle a messy piece of clothing over her little head! You're a life saver! Hah. Also glad someone else just sits their baby up to burp them!x
Another hack to avoid getting peed on is before you take off the dirty nappy wipe a baby wipe just above the nappy area, the coldness of the wipe usually makes them pee so it shouldn't go over you 😂
@Edison Clayton tf!! Why would you hack your gfs Instagram?

To be honest this is one of the most sensible new baby videos i have seen on TH-cam. Very clever thoughtful hacks. Though I know a few already, others are completely new and genius

The winding hack 🙌🏻 after watching the whole of this video winding my 6week old with no success , tried it and wind straight up x
That's amazing Laura! Well that alone made the video worth making! xx
Regarding being hit in the face with pee when you change a nappy - another good way of preventing this is to use a wet wipe on their tummy before you take the old nappy off as it stimulates them to pee for a final time before the change. Then you can change the nappy as usual.

My baby boy is 7 weeks old and I love your videos, I have learnt so much from watching them as a first time mum!
I can't get over how big he is!! 2 beautiful boys!!

This is amazing! I usually steer clear of these videos as they're all really obvious and I've had a baby already (number 2 due in 4 months time - eek!). Last one was VERY helpful. I hadnt thought of that or heard it elsewhere. I will definitely be doing this. So much better than drawers or hangers

#10 is a brilliant idea! I will be showing my husband this video. Thanks for putting this list together!
Also an amazing product I use is the haakaa pump it's literally the best pump ever so gentle and I get tones of let down. Perfect for mamas with a lot of milk.
For the poo stains use ox-gall soap, it gets everything out. I've used it for all sorts of stains and it worked.
Another tip for little boys. Pop a baby wipe over there bits whilst cleaning also stops the wee to face :) x
