La Scotto semble horrifiée par cette élève, mais c'est à juste titre. Les masterclass données avec des personnalités de ce calibre ne devraient pas être destinées à des chanteurs d'un si bas niveau technique et culturel.

Plus in this instance Scotto manages to illustrate how one repeats the same pitch and not something to the south of it. With all that screaming it’s amazing Scotto lasted as long as she did. I think it was 1952 when she sang with Tebaldi in ‘La Wally’ at the Scala.
@@LalaMontenegro1 She missed her calling the poor dear. Should of retired early like The great lyric Soprano Cotrubas & became a very excellent voice instructor. Cotrubas never sang flat/ off key etc. Scottos face lift looks great 💆💙.

In Norma, a Firenze, colo' a picco. Mi dispiace e che Anna Moffo non abbia dai mai dato masterclasse. Avrebbe detto tutto il contrario. Cordiali saluti. ( La Wally fu 7 dic 1953)
Young singers are better off with a good voice coach. Young singers are usually intimidated by famous singers turned teachers. Famous singers don’t necessarily make good teachers.

La preuve: Netrebko, qui, malgré une voix de paquebot, a pu chanter des rôles légers au tout début. Mais la technique, le timbre et la couleur de sa voix sont indubitablement slaves. Cela ne plaît pas aux chanteuses italiennes devenues professeurs, Scotto et Freni par exemple. Ce qu’elles essaient de montrer à ces belles voix russes n’a pas grand chose à voir avec leur technique.
Master classes are basically a big waste of time. It just brings disability/ publicity & inflates the retired opera singers ego $$$ find yourself a good voice teacher end of discussion.
but tbh Scotto teaches pretty well here, unlike all those American “masters” who teach singers how to act/feel the role/express their emotions while their basic vocalization is horrendous
