I just experienced this problem. I found your video and it sparked an idea when you stated no longer working on Mac. I realize everyone experiencing this issue may have it, but I have windows boot camp on my Mac. I switched over and installed the windows version of the software and bingo. It’s already been this long without a solution from Astro so it might be worth it to some to do the windows install. Thanks for the video and I hope this helps someone.
Yeah I already kno bout that. But not doing that already made a update video on it and how to down grade back and I already talk to Astro they even sent me a older version too but I already done that & there is a new update out to but I haven’t tried it yet

I just adjusted my controller today then did the update and bammm same problem it won't work. So un-updated works on Sierra and Mojave but once updated doesn't. Obviously you know this. lol It does show up in about this mac/system report... shows as Astro C40 but software won't connect. Any word from Astro?
Last time I spoke with them they said they are working to fix the bug in the software and seem like the update and patch fix forgot to add support for the controller and wireless usb hub connect so they are working to fix it but in the meantime they said try PC but I don’t got a PC so yeah but I still use mine on PS4 to play games so it still chilling so far I just can’t fix my settings or nothing
@@ducstroyer they replied to me but they told me they are working on a fix for it to get it fix then they said in the meantime use a PC but I don’t got one but they did say they are working hard to get it fix so it works again on Mojave, Catalina & Big Sur & the M1 Macs

Hello! This has been bugging me out since yesterday! I bought this controller for my PS4 and it worked flawlessly! I want to use it for my PC - my PC detected it but for some reason it does not work. For example, I tried playing the witcher 3, cyberpunk and cold war(does not work) - However, I booted up Resident Evil 7 on the PC and the controller works perfectly. Does anyone know how to fix this? Any help would be appreciated. I am using it wirelessly with the adapter and it's blue when I turn the controller on. Thanks!
Try updating your software to the newest version & reset the controller after that plug into your pc with the actual cable see if it detects it.. also check n see if your adapter needs a update too

Yeah they are working to fix the issue soon as possible but the software does work on PC if you have one and want to update your controller or make changes
Is your software on your Mac or pc if on pc update the wireless adapter if not and it’s on Mac gotta wait for the fix from Astro about that I have contacted them n hopefully they get back to me today cause after that update the software don’t work on Mac n you can’t connect the controller to the software or the wireless adapter
Pc mate already did the update. I guess I'll have to persevere a bit. Works fine wired. Love the controller but I'm on my second one due to connectivity issues!
My latest contact with Astro Gaming concerning the lose of function: “Sync the C40 and Dongle by holding the LED button on the Dongle for 10 seconds, then pressing the Share and Menu buttons (the two buttons around the touchpad) together for 10 seconds. Both LEDs will flash until it syncs and stops. th-cam.com/video/0UOB-F-gfGg/w-d-xo.html If you are unable to sync the C40 to the dongle, let us know whether any of the devices do not go into pairing mode or if they do go into pairing mode but do not pair with each other. If it is your C40 that does not enter pairing mode, perform these steps: 1. Remove the face plate and modules from the C40. The LED on your C40 will flash amber when powered on because the modules are removed. 2. Remove the USB cable from the C40 TR Controller 3. Switching it to wired mode, back to wireless mode, and then hold down the reset pin for 30 seconds. 4. Push the PS button on the C40 to power on the C40. The LED should be flashing as your modules are not inserted. 5. Now try holding down the Start and Share buttons to have the C40 enter pairing mode. The LED should be flashing amber and white. Just to clarify, the C40 will flash white at about 2 second intervals when it is not connected to anything wirelessly and it will flash white quicker at about 1 second intervals when it is in pairing mode.”
Thanks but that’s not the issue it’s the software doesn’t work on Mac and a lot of ppl has Mac computers and can’t use they software to make changes to the controller.. Astro is in the works to fix the software there is bug with the software.. but I been done all that the software is bugged the controller still pairs with the PS4 & Mac just the software has issues
I bought a 200$ controller for it not even to work on my pc I haven’t had this much problem with a controller I would really suggest u just get a scuff and sell the controller.
Scuf sucks and break easy .. Astro controller works on pc you have to download the software for PC and update the controller and wireless adapter and update the software and it will work easy
@@CraytonTv Iv tried multiple times it just won’t detect the controller I even updated it on a laptop and still won’t work for my pc I love the controller worked great on my ps4
On Mac you can’t check software settings right now have to use a PC if you have one.. but if you have setup your controller before you can use it on Mac just you can’t check your settings cause the software is being worked on right now for bugs n improvement n update for the controller..
Only update for the controller is the software on Mac does not work they are working on fix and seeing what is wrong. And a update for the controller they said use PC until they get it fix but for me I gotta wait I don’t own a PC
don't be discouraged .he astro remote is an amazing device. Updates just suck sometimes. I've had mine since 2019. No problems at all. STILL GOING HARD!

When I open the astro center it can‘t find the controller. It is conected. Any tipps?
Update the software first then it will connect to the controller so update the software first

I update mine today to fix drift and it stopped working on my Mac. Please give update once you hear back from them
