The Monon was a main line through Bloomington IN then was taken over by CSX . Now the tracks are walking trails. The big yard even had a turntable now all gone. It is very sad to lose a piece of history like this.
Down here in Salem, Indiana it was the New Albany & Salem RR back in 1847 before it was the Monon which was taken over by L&N, then CSX. Down here the tracks are still here though the sidings are gone.

Of the six (maybe 5) locomotives at the KRM, I think Monon BL2 #32 is probably my favorite locomotive.
