It needs a hole in the roof of the cab to let the air out so it will sink all the way! Great tips on water proofing.

This might work for a while but i don't recommend the plastidip for long term use in the water. It goes hard and brittle and it doesn't conform to parts of the circuit board properly. It ends up developing small pockets of condensation under the coating and they often fry. Silicone Conformal Coating seems to be better

Liquid tape is an insulator, not a waterproofer. If you have had success so far then your lucky. You should be using silicone or a conformal coating. Conformal coatings are best, like corrosion X.

just use plasti dip and marine grease....plasti dip will seal and marine grease will last a lot longer than rc hobby grease.

+Julian Evans i found the spray plasti dip works really good for the reciever box. i used to wrap mine a balloon and zip tie it but it wouldnt seal completely. i use it like form-a-gasket and open the box as well as axelhousings then put them back together and let them dry. keeps out about 80% of moisture and protects the bolts from rusting.
