Firstly, Arya is the only safe character, as George R.R. Martin's wife has forbidden him from killing her off! Secondly, it's incredible how much Maisie has changed since her first Thronecast interview! She's come out of her shell so much, she's so different! Really hope she gets more work, one of the best young actresses out there!

Now you begin to realize she's a great actress. Why? Because she's so different in real life. Unlike many characters who talk the same, who's accent is the same when playing the role. She's a perky, happy, and some would say bratty teenager, but in game of thrones she's different... ACTING.

She held herself well alongside Charles Dance, he has a big commanding presence and she acted really well during the Harrenhall sequences.

The people who are commenting on how she looks, and calling her chubby, please consider the effect that this kind of mentality has on many female actors, did you learn nothing from her role in the story? Women shouldn't have to be judged on how they look when their talents should be the main focus.

I watched the Red Wedding with commentary and it was the first time Michelle Fairley (Catelyn Stark) saw the episode. You didn't 'see' her but she was upset and broke down a bit watching it. Great actress but I never liked her , Catelyn, in the books. Every one of her chapters she was crying about losing this and that, all her chapters were depressing.

TheDBall73 Well gee, I wonder why her chapters were depressing and why she was crying - she lost her husband, she lost her girls, she lost Bran and Rickon - all was happening that she couldn't stop it - were you expecting her to be all sunshine and smiles or something? You never liked her because her chapters were about losing this and that, well guess what, she did lose all of that and god forbid she should be upset or talk about it or think about it? If you lost your whole family, I suppose you wouldn't be sad at all?
BetaArtemis Well I could say the same for Arya too but shows how shes overcoming her struggle by being a badass.. It's just personal preference on what character you connect with more or just enjoy reading/watching...

The Amazing thing about GOT, is that it has opened up our world to some incredible and amazing new talent. Maisie Williams you are at the top of the heap, and I thank you so much for giving us one great performance after another. Bravo to you.

She is definitely one of my favorite celebrities.... you can tell she is just herself all the time and completely genuine. Good for her and I hope (and know) her career is bright and full of success (not dark and full or terror).
For the people calling her fat or chubby: Many of you would never reach her position. And you are just jealous people. Big change you are actually a fan of her. I love her acting and personality in the series. And she is just having fun there and talking about what she does and feels and is actually a sweet girl. She is just 16, remember that. Keep up the good work maisie!

Pfft! If you're going to post a "SPOILER", at least make it believable. I mean she does kill a few inconsequential characters in the books/series and always talks about killing some more significant characters, but at what point written thus far do you consider her a "hardcore assassin?"
I believe she is capable, but GRRM is has been mean to our beloved Starks in the past so maybe in the upcoming "Winds of Winter" she'll just become a hardcore pyre to R'hllor. I seem to recall some additional dialog between Arya and Melisandre in the TV series which may be foreshadowing something terrible yet to come. Or maybe it just means that in the unlikely event that someone tries to pose as Arya, Melisandre would know of the falsehood.

It's so awesome to see a kid who's grown up on camera being paid tons of money and being treated special to still be so down to earth and have humility. Also, her sense of humor is just wonderful, especially for a 16 year old girl. She's really quite funny! I hope for all the best for this wonderful young lady.
Has anyone else noticed that Arya's voice sounds nothing at all like Maisie's? It doesn't even sound like a voice that Maisie should be able to produce. Arya's is breathy, airy, and slightly husky with a slightly woody tone, whereas Maisie's is much stronger and brighter, and more nasal, and quite metallic in tone, but not steel. More like brass or a bronze gong. Arya's voice is very soothing. Maisie's is brash and quite irritating if you're not in the right mood for it.
Yeah it is different. About the only time you kinda see Maisie coming through is when she laughs at the Bloody Gate.
Timothy Cole Yeah, I noticed that. Also where she's shouting at Sandor for robbing the dude who took them in. I guess she plays Arya with a light, breathy voice because she's way older than the character. Hell, she will be in her 20's before Arya is 11. Though, they have kinda made Arya older in the series. The good thing is, they haven't said HOW old yet. So, if Maisie doesn't age well, they can always say Arya is in her mid teens

She IS an actress, and I know not to have expectations for the real person, when I only know the fictional character(s) they play. So it's hard to surprise me. Nothing strange here. Just a 21st century teenage girl, who has more insight than people who just WATCH the show she works on.
maybewise Her age is still up for grabs. The show hasn't mentioned it. They'll be wise to wait and see. Especially with GRRM's insistence on Arya taking all her clothes off in every chapter lately. If he writes her a love-angle, they're either gonna need to cut it, change it, or adjust the characters age like they did with the annoying blonde chick whose name I won't mention. But yeah, I'm not talking about putting on a different voice, I'm talking about the actual qualities of the voice changing. There are certain qualities of a voice that never change, no matter what voice you put on, and she comes close to changing those to. As an actor, I think she's pretty average once you take her age out of the equation, but the voice thing is actually pretty remarkable.
mellowb1rd The real girl will be 18 soon. So I don't think her being naked with her fictional age matters. Aren't most the fictional characters screwing on that show underaged anyway?

denizreal yeah, she ends going to bravos, and begins her training as a faceless man. she basically is put through a series of batman-like tests designed to hone the faceless men's abilities, it gets a little lame until arya is stricken blind... or was it deaf? i cant remember which happened first.
hamzah abdullah yeah, she gets blind because of the milk that she drinks every night, but she regained her sight later, and begin her first mission with izembaro and we're still waiting on what will happen next in the next book

Maisie you can relax... Arya's one of the Main POV characters I'd guess she won't die in any book :)
Ned was a POV character as well.
BigMikeMcBastard I guess you missunderstood: He died in season 1... Daenerys Targaryen, Jon Snow, Arya Stark, Tyrion Lannister, Jaime Lannister, Cercei Lannister, Brandon Stark and Sansa Stark are POVs till the end of book 5!!! They're the REAL POVs.... That's why I said "main POVs"... Are they all MAIN???? Selmy? Jorah? Missandei? No... Most of them die... Some only have one chapter... (To the main chars you could also count Theon and Asha Greyjoy...)
GRRM said himself that he might end up killing everyone and let's face it, Arya is too young to have any form of real power and with only 2-3 books left, support characters will have an hard time. The people you mentionned have only been safe because they are the only valuable pair of eyes in their specific region of the world but as the story end, they will start meeting and the bloodbath will begin. I can picture arya being killed while she tries to assassinate another POV or something like that.
KlioSeth Well okay maybe in book 7 some of those POV's get killed (we already know that Cercei's gonna die in book 6 or 7, Tyrion MIGHT die (I hope not), Jaime as well, Asha I guess WILL die etc...)
