@@plisskenetic It was; they mean when Arya went to assassinate Walder Frey. In a previous scene, she's seen serving Jaime while in disguise, although the audience doesn't realize it's her yet.

She changed her look for her role in Pistol. It was just released on Hulu. She plays Pamela Rooke who was popular in the early punk scene. A lot of punk fashion was inspired by her - hence Maisie's look.

That's not an excuse to look radically different. Changing one's hair color and style does not radically change one's look. I can see her eyebrows were colored as well, but other than that, she looks like she got plastic surgery.

Getting Arya in Game of Thrones as her first role, must've been scary.
For sure, but in all fairness, no one expected the show to blow up the way it did. They didn’t even know if the pilot would get anywhere. So to her, it was just a first gig 🤷🏽♀️

@@kennip24Really crazy to think about isn't it. Many people thought GoT would flop like other fantasy shows. It became the best fantasy show ever and one of the best mainstream shows ever. Pretty unreal. I'm also amazed that there is any negativity, what we got was overall amazing compared to most fantasy franchises.
She's really adorable and has a great personality. I hope she continues to find success and happiness...she deserves it!

I looked it up & Maisie actually is sometimes used as short for Margaret & is Scottish in origin. So this turned out to be educational for me!

I don't think Jamie was ever on her list, though. And by the time she sees Jamie again in season 8, he's allowed to stay and help by Sansa and Dany. So with all the plotholes in season 8, that really isn't one.
arya could have killed anybody, the real question is why she didn't kill cersei.
@@MFBloosh You're right about the list but it's a plot hole in itself that Arya let Jaime off because Dany said so. Arya has always been rebellious, stubborn and prone to letting emotions getting the better of her. For example, she still went after Cersei in season 8 until The Hound convinced her not to. It's completely within her wheelhouse that she'd ignore Dany, Jon etc and go straight after Jaime.
@@Ass_of_Amalek Because she didn't have to. Cersei was already dead, and it would've been WAY WORSE writing if she was dumb enough to continue on a suicidal mission to be rid of someone who is already gonna die. I'm sure if King's Landing wasn't being leveled by Dany and the red keep wasn't falling apart, Arya would've went up the tower with the Hound and ended Cersei.

I remember her as Ashildr/Me in those episodes of Doctor Who. It really amazed me that she was able to capture the loneliness and bitterness that immortality can cause.
Still hate that, despite that immortality, she was able to be duped so easily. It's like Lancel trying to do some power grab behind Tywin... and succeeding.

What a wondefully peculiar person, obviously mean that in the most positive way possible! She seems incredibly interesting and has a really fascinating aura.
She doesn't seem peculiar at all to me, she seems fairly normal and mainstream and genuine, especially compared to most actors. If you mean her look, it's for a role. Not sure what would be considered 'peculiar' about her?
@Dimes I think @Emmeth meant it as a compliment. She is “wonderfully peculiar” as in not a “basic” girl (like me!). She is so fun and does things her own way without being too influenced by (Hollywood? The Media? Etc.). Maisie is wonderful.

Eh, I think it's been more than enough. Let's remember that D&D were the ones (with GRRM amazing source material of course) that brought GoT to such huge heights, before that fantasy TV was a joke. We should be nuanced with our opinions.
I think the question asking about wether she can speak Targaryen meant if she can speak Valyrian. She knows a few phrases.

I named my cat Maisie and someone asked me what the name "Maisie" is short for. I told them Maisie is short for Maisen (like raisin) as a joke. And now I can't stop calling her Maisen.
