I love the pecketts but my brother likes them even more than me he's A peckett nerd so when i showed him that there's a peckett in Australia he was shocked in a good way one day i want to go there
@@Trainsaregreat365 Awesome! Yeah, Pecketts in Australia are a very weird site. AHHR has 2 Pecketts; I believe the only two to have operated in Queensland. It’s very unique seeing Pecketts built for 3ft 6in gauge use instead of the regular 4ft 8 1/2in gauge Pecketts as seen in the UK! AHHR has ‘1069’ which is the operational one seen in this video. It’s an M4 type I believe. AHHR also has ‘1174’ but currently stripped down to its bare basics for eventual restoration. It’s slightly larger than ‘1069’ I believe and is an R1 type. Both locomotives worked together at the Mount Morgan gold mines and afterwards the coal mines at Mount Isa.
@@birgitmaloney7637 Coal for the Peckett locomotive is sourced from the Blair Athol mine I believe. We simply just get water from nearby probably as you can get water from practically anywhere around. 😄
