    First--I was the first to get that same razor. I've shaved with mine for 5 days and since have sold 3 high end razors on Kijiji in the last 2 days. I'm telling you it's the best razor I've evee owned. Great shave BTW

    Great shave John! Goes to show that positive blade exposure doesn’t always equal an aggressive shave. I’ve been having great shaves this week, and no new soaps in my den, but an certainly enjoying some older favourites. Have a great day bud!

    Nicely done. I have the GC SS 0.68 and for my daily shave/growth it is almost ideal. However that 0.72 gap is tempting.

    • @johnshaves1996
      @johnshaves1996  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It definitely has more blade feel than .68 gap but also more efficiency to go with it. But if you’re happy with the .68 I guess no need to look else where . I prefer the .68 gap over the popular Feather ASD-2. Another mild razor I’d be interesting in trying is the higher gap Mamba

    I feel lucky I was able to get an order in on the Lupo DC and a Lupo. 72 plate. My .68 Gamechanger’s OC and straight bar are most used and number one razors. My Gamechanger .84 is okay works well in the Summer for me when my skin swells I think from being outside so much. I agree the BBS caused me a bit of irritation but on my head in the top back. I am looking forward to receiving my new Lupo’s. Great video John, man you sure shave quickly. The Razorock Lupo .72 has positive blade exposure Checked it myself and it is still smooth and not threating IMO. I also just received the RR lupo.72 and had my first shave today and came across your thread on you tube. I'm impressed so far and I have a RR GC .84 also and it is really nice to face shave with a DE Kai SS wider blade than a standard Gillette blade, if you want a bump up in aggression and efficentcy. Not to many video's out there on the 2nd generation Razorock Lupo base plate variants so good I came across your site. You confirmed my thoughts also on its performance and value.

    I just snagged this razor off of a seller on ebay with the HD handle. After seeing it out of stock on Italian Barber, I figured why wait and just buy. I bought the game changer. 84 over a year ago and used on and off. Just started using again and loving it. My second razorock purchase was the old type. Last week I decided to purchase the .68 base plate just to have on hand, and then threw in the German slant 37 head lol. I might purchase the jaws .68 and the Lupo open comb plates in the future. Might need to get the titanium handle as well. Razorock makes some really nice equipment for the price!

      @johnshaves1996  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Nice! you picked a nice set of options for sure. I have .68 open comb (not the jaws) which has more teeth. I found it to have more blade feel than than .84 SB even. So I think the OCs are just not for me but some people seem to love them for sure. they have awesome prices indeed and I always try to recommend them to beginners for sure. have a good one

      @@johnshaves1996 Hi again John,
      My first Razorock was a •68 open comb Gamechanger. They were all out of closed comb so I just went ahead. I was a bit cautious at first but found it shaved me really well and for me, was really smooth! I later used it to remove 7 days growth and again it was very efficient and so smooth. I own a few high end razors......Rex Envoy, Outlaw Standard and Mild, Edwin jagger 3one6, muhle rocca stainless, AS-D2 and Braveheart. All good razors but my Razorock's are easily as good if not better.

For some reason my skin been acting up past 36 hrs, I used to much pressure possiblity with the .68 game changer sb plate or my skin doesn't like lime essential oil from Stirling's aloe and witch hazel margaritas in the Artic. Oof, positive blade exposure = no for me. Though the comparisons to the GC 0.68 and 0.84 is valuable to prospective shoppers. Do these (and the GC heads) work with Wolfman handles?

    • @vincentedgeworks
      @vincentedgeworks 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Not to jump in front of John here, but the hollow WHR2 fits perfectly on them. Both on the GCs and the Lupos.

    • @johnshaves1996
      @johnshaves1996  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yeah what Anthony said they work with all my handles they have standard threading. But don’t let the positive blade exposure scare you. I don’t think it protrudes too much on this cause blade feel is there but it’s still mild. Going off memory maybe similar to the Karve B plate?

    Hi John,
    I received this razor two days ago, still waiting to use it. Really nice looking razor. It is my 4th Razorock, the others being the Gamechanger •68 open comb, •84 closed, the Lupo dual comb and now the •72. I really like Razorock as they are great quality, cheap and are 316L stainless Steel. Also....I have the •95 closed comb on the Lupo dual comb. I was surprised at how smooth it was.

      @@johnshaves1996 Thanks John,
      I had my 5th Razorock turn up today and it's a BBS stainless. A mild razor I'm told. So once I have a few days growth, I shaved yesterday, I am going to put it head to head with my AS-D2 Feather. The Feather has been disappointing for me as I have to overshave to get smooth and this leads to soreness. I always use Feather blades now in the AS-D2 as other brands give even worse results! It will be interesting to see how they compare. I have to agree with you....the quality and performance of the Razorocks could easily warrant a higher price.
      Take care and stay safe Sir!

      @@davesheppard8797 yeah man I know the feeling I bought the ASD-2 TWICE cause I wanted it to work since it was so well built . But I have thicker growth and I over shaved quite a bit with it . I would also try the Kai blade in the feather though those blades are a tiny bit wider from edge to edge . For me the .68 game changer delivered a better shave while still feeling mild . It was hard for me to find the right handle in the BBS and I preferred for game changer . But there are people out there that prefer BBS . Let me know your thoughts after a few shaves . Take care

But after a 3 pass shave, 2 with, 1 against the BBS side was a lot closer and not sore. The Feather side was missed in a few places and that side was sore.
