They may feel very similar immediately following the shave but my beard always starts to come back 2-3 hours earlier than with the .95 Lupo, my Blackbird and my 6s with a higher plate. I consider the .84 GC a great date night shaver, you’ll get a very close shave with little chance of nicks and weepers and you don’t care about how it feels after 9-10 hours

I just recently had to replace my 9 year old Butterfly Zamak razor. I'd always wanted a stainless steel razor, but cost was prohibitive. That is, until I discovered Razorock and the Italian barber. I purchased both the RR GC 68-P and the GC 84-P and I love the shave I get from both.
Great video and a good accurate reference for folks who are wondering what razor to purchase. I have the Razorock game changer .84 and the New Lupo .72 and really enjoy both. The RR GC.84 with the Kai blade is one nice razor to use IMO. Have a great day.

That was an interesting observation you made about comparison videos. I think comparing the feel of the shave at the end is really best when comparing more distinctly or intentionally different/unique razors.
I cannot disagree with you sir. I just find I tend to even things out. I can talk about they way they might feel different during the shave but the result mostly comes out the same.
Can’t beat them Razorock SS offerings. I was able to pick up a DC and .72 plate, just waiting. If I do not like a gap I will use the one I like most. I been waiting a long time for this and I am happy for this.
I was stuck between these two, but the Game Changer .84 was in stock and the Lupo .95 was not so I ordered up the Game Changer. It was delivered today and I used it for the first time. Man am I impressed. The best shave I have had yet with safety razors. I have had the Rockwell 6S as my daily which is very smooth but not efficient enough. The Game Changer for me was actually smoother, and more efficient. I am impressed and I am also considering getting the Lupo also when it's back in stock.

Hi Chris, I now have the Lupo dual comb.....Great! and the •72 Lupo which I haven't used yet. So with my Gamechangers that's 4. I really love these Razorock razors. Had my 1st vaccination yesterday so feeling a bit crap. My partner contracted corona virus a few weeks ago and we had 10 very worrying days in isolation wondering how sick she would get. She is a lot better now though. This caused me to have 7 days growth as I didn't really think about shaving but I had the pleasure of removing it all with my •68 Gamechanger. One of my favourite razors. I like the dual comb and the •95 side is smooth and not too aggressive. I love my •68 open comb as it's very smooth. What is the difference between the open comb and the Jaws. The comb on the Jaws looks aggressive and not like my open comb. Take care Chris and stay safe mate, Dave.
Great and helpful review, Chris! I think that confirms that the GC would be a better choice for me in my usage case. I find that my sweet spot is a razor with low blade feel but higher efficiency (tough to find). For example, I constantly battle whether I prefer my Timeless 68 OC plate or 95 SB plate and both do a great job... the neutral blade exposure of the 68 OC Timeless has been really working for me lately.
Hi Chris. Great vid! Personally I always enjoy these comparison shaves. I love the Gamechanger.84 for its super smooth shave but always wish it was a touch for efficient. I may have to pick up the Lupo .95. I really respect RazoRock and Italian Barber for their super value products. I also wholeheartedly agree with you that experienced shavers tend to automatically compensate to razors, making comparisons tricky. Shave326 tested the Rex Ambassador at various settings and came to the determination that blade gap did not translate into more or less efficiency. I kind of think he subconsciously adjusted his technique as he perceived more blade feel and so ended up with the same results regardless of setting.
I agree Ron. I think we tend to adjust and it ends up coming out the same. You can certainly feel when one is more aggressive and has more blade feel, but it's difficult to say if one is really shaving better than another.
Hey, I watched! 😁. I promise I won't ask you in 3 days if you ever did a GC/Lupo comparison! I got the. 72 Lupo and the. 68 GC... I must say I find the difference between both sides of the Lupo DC, while noticeable, mostly so due to the comb, but quite similar nevertheless. Too similar maybe. A pity you didn't order the .72/.95 version, would have loved your thoughts on that.
I did order the DC and when I get it, I cant wait to see if there's much of a difference. I'll probably use the .95 wtg and .72 xtg/atg kinda like an adjustable. If it isnt much difference then I'll use both sides like they're the same
Thanks for showing the Lupo 95. Since RazoRock claims the Lupo 95 is the most aggressive razor they make, is it as aggressive as a Mühle R41, Merkur Futur (on 6), Timeless 95. Blackland Blackbird, Blackland Vector or something else? I guess you'd have to do a head-to-head with other razors to give an accurate answer, but I hope you might be able to offer an opinion.

I have talked to SoSharpDavid who has the .68 and wants the .84 so I plan to trade with him as well lol. Do not change how you do videos I personally love them my friend :) On Saturday I was either buying The Lupos SS or The Karve brass and I went for the Karve.
Hey Sean. Thanks for the kind words. That sounds like a nice trade if you're getting what you want. The Karve is a very nice razor as well, I think you'll be happy with that.
According to the aggressiveness chart of Razorock, Lupo 95 is the most aggressive razor of all Razorock razors. Game Changer 0.84 is below aggressive than Hawk V3 & Lupo 72. And Lupo aluminium is far below aggressive than GC 0.84. I'm a bit scare of the Lupo 95 aggressiveness. Btw, I ordered Hawk SS V3 & Lupo aluminium & XXX soap too yesterday finally, influenced by your recent Top 10 safety razor 2020 video. 😅 I hope this two razors are like GC 0.84 & 0.68 relation complementary.
I hope you love those razors sir. I do appreciate a little more blade feel so the Lupo .95 is perfect for me. They do have the plates that have smaller blade gaps however.
There are at least a couple of "buy/sell/trade (BST)" groups on Facebook (if you're on that platform). Two to check out are "Wet Shaving Enablers: Buy, Sell, & Trade" and "Shave Addicts Marketplace Unleashed". Otherwise Shave Forums such as Damn Fine Shave (damnfineshave.com/forum-buying-selling-trading) also have BST forums.
Dear Chris what about the Lupo SS 72 unless the 95 for those people who do not love so strong blade feeling? Anyways it still remains not a double gamechanger, Stil applicable?
Hi i have the parker variant setting always on 3 for head shave so adjustability not needed. Is the lupo 95 ss or gamechanger 84 a good choice or rockwell 6c. S6 is out of price range
Great shaves, both razors. Timely, too, as I’ve been on the fence on the GC .84. Have you done a direct comparison between the different plates on the GameChanger? I’d love to get your impressions on degrees of difference across the line.
Great comparison Chris thanks. Thought the aggressiveness chart that Razorock released recently was interesting and really useful, having used most of the razors yourself, do you broadly agree with it?
Hi Chris you are doing a lot of nice shaving 's videos and reviews. Did you already compare the Lupos 95Ss and the old one ALu? Which one do you prefer on your skin? I cannot afford both, I like a lot the gamechanger using it daily, in Alu I have a Timeless and it's wonderful, but for the Lupos I have to choose one? Lottery? Thank you in advance. Danilo
I prefer the Stainless Lupo. Once I got the stainless Lupo I got rid of the aluminum as I didn't see any reason to keep both. That said, I prefer a little heft in my razors. If you prefer a lighter razor you may well prefer the aluminum.
@@IAMCDB Hi Chris it's impossible to find one by razorock and also by Italianbarber. Com, distributor for Europe, any tips? Just wait... It's the sign it's a very good razor to a very good price when they run out of stock so fast. Amazing

Thanks Serge. People often say the feather is the sharpest blade so you may want to try one of those. KAI are also said to be quite sharp.
Great shave Chris.. Great comparison shave. Love RazoRock razors, good quality at a good price. Got my eye on the Lupo but want the later version. Your opinion and advice is greatly appreciated. Stay safe and warm brother;-)
Thanks so much CB, I appreciate it very much!
Great comparison Chris👍For now, I will have to stick with the Gamechanger lol 😆
That game changer is no slouch. It's certainly not leaving my den:)
nice razors, super shave !!!
Thanks so much Razor!
value for money on both are great. good quality razors for a fair price 👍👍 man what a nice brush . nice lather good shave simple ingredients could not ask for more
Thanks so much Paul. I agree with everything you said brother:)
Great shave Chris! I’m trying very hard not to buy a Lupo or Gamechanger.... but man some of y’all are making that difficult lol. Have a great day jy man!
Resistance is futile:) Oh Canada!
@@IAMCDB hahaha it’s tough, that’s for sure!
Hey Chris I actually am in the middle of a trade and will be getting the .84 plate and head that I will put on a beautiful stainless steel and titanium coated handle.
Common! Grab your popcorn and enjoy the show!
Haha, thank you!
Hi Chris, Lupo .95 or GameChanger .84 open comb razor if you had to choose.
Lupo:)
I hope this two razors are like GC 0.84 & 0.68 relation complementary.
I hope you love those razors sir. I do appreciate a little more blade feel so the Lupo .95 is perfect for me. They do have the plates that have smaller blade gaps however.
You could order the Lupo DC. It has a .72 Open Comb and the 0.95 Scalloped Bar side.
@@Blank-Knight And plus Lupo 72 solid plate. Then they can complete interchangeable adjustable! 👍🪒
Thanks!😀
Great shave Cris! Have a Great day brother
Thanks so much Matteo, I appreciate it very much.
Great vid Chris!
Thanks very kindly Joseph.
Chris when you sell hardware what outlet do you use. Great video I did purchase the RR BBS razor after seeing yours and others video on the BBS.
Hey John. I usually use the Wet Shaving Enablers group on facebook.
Love this channel
Thank you so much Sterling, I appreciate it very much.
Chris, would you say that the SS Lupo 95 is a closer copy of the Wolfman than the 2020 SS Lupo? This one looks identical to the Wolfman.
I think so but it's been years since I used the Wolfman. As best I can recall this feels more similar to me.
Dear Chris what about the Lupo SS 72 unless the 95 for those people who do not love so strong blade feeling? Anyways it still remains not a double gamechanger, Stil applicable?
Yes, the Lupo would not be exactly like the game changer regardless if it were .72 or .95. They are different razors entirely.
@@IAMCDB Grazie mille
Great comparison! I love that 0.95 but I still want to keep my game changer even though I love the Lupo 0.95
I'm definitely keeping both. They are both terrific razors IMO.
Timeless .95 OC is my favorite razor. I know it is more expensive, but wondering how it compares to the Lupo .95. Thanks!
The Timeless is more efficient I think. Both are good razors but I think the timeless definitely has the edge on fit and finish as well as efficiency.
@@IAMCDB Thanks again, my friend! Your diligence to responding is appreciated. I am sure it is hard, but it is very cool. Blessings to you!
@@brotherderek It's my pleasure sir. Blessings to you as well!
Thanks, much needed comparison, what is the blade exposure on original Lupo, is it neutral, negative or positive?
I'm not sure to be honest sir. I **think positive but I'm not 100% on it.
@@IAMCDB Thanks for responding.
I haven't done a direct comparison that I recall but I prefer the .84 over the .68.
Great comparison Chris thanks. Thought the aggressiveness chart that Razorock released recently was interesting and really useful, having used most of the razors yourself, do you broadly agree with it?
I'd say I agree with it for the most part. The Lupo .95 is definitely up there towards the top.
@@IAMCDB Grazie Chris, best tips always. 👍👍🔝
@@danilobernaschina1842 Thank you!
@@IAMCDB Hi Chris it's impossible to find one by razorock and also by Italianbarber. Com, distributor for Europe, any tips? Just wait... It's the sign it's a very good razor to a very good price when they run out of stock so fast. Amazing
@@danilobernaschina1842 I would suggest checking the buy, sell, & trade sections of the forums and on facebook. People often sell razors and soaps and you might find one there. Sometimes you can also make announcement in these forums that you're looking for a particular razor and folks will reach out to you.
When you said lower base plate, which ones did you mean?
I meant the base plates they offer with less blade gap like the .72 version.
Good review
Thanks so much sir.
Chris, is that the 2 piece Halo on both razors? That seems to be your RR handle of choice, correct?
Yes sir. These are the handles I have on most of my razorock razors.
I believe the item I questioned was the continuous mister. Which size do you recommend? Was it just water or some pre shave oil? Thanks
Hi sir, I just use plain water, nothing else. This is the one I use: amzn.to/33PbP70
Value is. Simple. Value doesn't mean "cheap". If someone is bugging you, because they equate the word value with the word cheap, that's their own personal misconception to work out with their therapist. Ignore their feedback.
What were you spraying, pre lather, on your face? Can you supply information incase I want to make the purchase? Thanks
Just plain water sir. This is the mister I use: amzn.to/33PbP70
Old black lupo vs new lupo which one is more efficient and smoother?
New by a longshot
Which new Lupo? If you're comparing the new Lupo .72 then it's pretty darn close (if not identical) to the Lupo SS DLC (I own both). If you're talking about the Lupo .95 that Chris used in this video, that is going to be more efficient versus the Lupo SS DLC.
I'm assume it will be the new but I'll do that comparison soon.
Nice!
Thank you!
Razors for rhinoceros skin
hahaha.
First
Thanks Art.
just got the GC.84 and I LOVE it coming from a R89.. helps my sensitive skin.. which shocked me.
Would you recommend the LUPO 95 as a second alternative? I know the 72 exist but it seems a bit redundant according to Italian barbers chart.. hmm
