Adam is such a good commentator , smart to tone down his voice at crucial moment .Fan proves that a strong backhand is the ultimate weapon against Ma Long.The setup is beautiful , lighting , cameras , polite crowd . Long life to the new King.
Adam, a good commentator??? He is a top of the world commentator who deserves a gold medal for his excellence. He knows EVERYTHING and makes the game like a tense triller movie. Long live the commentator King!

@@mikef6399 I'm new to table tennis, but the commentator is terrible for me. He's v one sided, he's like a fan of Ma Long. Ma has a poor backhand, Fan exploited that and won.

@@zozodeb sorry I mean poor compared to Fan Zhendong. That's why he lost. Ma has a better all round game than Fan, but as the old saying goes, you're only as strong as your weakest link
This wasn't a cake walk for neither of them. It was a roller coster of emotions and had me at the edge of my seat the whole time!

II don't know... I understand with my brain - these are the top of the line strongest players in the world. But at the same time this game was mostly so much "the same and the same" monotonous left to left rallies type of game. Phenomenal mastery, but boring as hell. ) Pardon me..
I think Ma Lin, Xu-Xin, Wang Hao games was so mush more entertaining. No?
What I did see here is just very hard job for the players. After 4th set they were already exhausted and I felt sorry for them that they "must continue to play" and entertain the audience. A job.

I mean one is 25 and other one is 33. Clearly one of em has a physical advantage and the other one an experience one, but i think as time goes on and on the physical advantage will increase more and more, 8 years is a lot

As expected, you can hear some passionate admiration of quads from Adam when he is commenting the games with either Fan or Zhang was involved. Adam just loves quads. 🙂

Bad point of view of main camera. It's hard to see the match. Good point of view were in "Feeder Otocec 20-26 JUNE 2022" for example
Somehow i got the impression that Fan Zhendong suffered from some lats pull while playing in game 2 or 3. Notice how stiff his posture became and how much he was sweating even though there wasn't much of long rallies. Also he kept wincing a few times as if he was enduring some pain.
When you see both top players play , they play their mentality to the breakdown ,mind games , strategies , footsteps, even breath... looking at intense facial expression on them , the atmosphere is really choking and i got the thrill between them

What a refreshing match!
Amazing match.
In this video, Adam Bobrow was saying something which I think is 100 % true: "If FZD is playing absolutely loose, it's very hard to control him". In this match (especially the first two sets), FZD seems loose and is playing very aggressive. He was close to perfect in these first two games.
That's what I found disappointing when looking at the olympic final, especially considering how mentally tough FZD normally is and how well he performs at crucial points. FZD seemed very nervous which is why he was very passive and not as agile as he usually is.
That was his first olympic, maybe he was a little stressed
If you had a chance to see how liu guoliang pushed pressure on him before the finals，you might understand why.
@@ciciwalkwalk3507, don't get me wrong! I'm a fan of Fan and would have loved to see him win the olympics. That's why I was disappointed when he didn't quite bring his A-game to the finals. Anything less than that is not enough to beat ML.

If you watch Fan Zhengdong in slow motion, when he hits the powerful backhand, he jumps back a little as usual before the shot, and then jumps a little more back same time with the shot. How can he separately hit so hard forward with the hand, when he is flying backwards?
FZD is such an amazing player but ML will remain fan favorite always.

One commentator was making it fun and the other one was running it all with low energy and unawareness
They both seem fairly unaware to me. The high energy dude seems to be just a fan boy of Ma. Usually in sports the commentator is supposed to be neutral. Almost unprofessional commentary.
The side camera is so awful. At least we got the replay. But why, why, why the side camera? 😢
