Alexis in this match reminded me of Jan-Ove Waldner. Breaking the tempo game play and surprising strong serve game from Alexis. Congrats! Dima is like who is this kid who wants to serve like he's on speed...haha. Dima is still a great player, he'll bounce back!

I enjoyed how Dima already resorted into semi chinese powerplay with his style here (probably because of the tacky Dignics 09c?) I enjoyed how Lebrun (and some other new non-chinese players) are adding more effective styles to TT other than the pure power plays of the Chinese pros And most of all, I enjoy how well Adam has already gauged the new players' styles lol---even predicted the windshield wiper serve
Yeah well, I'll take that anytime instead of having to concentrate on my shot while listening to the obnoxious and unnecessary moaning of the other one.
In my opinion, Lebrun's serves are officially not 100% compliant. But he is not the only one.. He plays very, very well. The loud behavior is... borderline.. but he is a fantastic player.

Reminds me of that meme of the dude celebrating crazily! Then biting the medal and kissing a stewardess, then popping a champagne bottle and when they expand the picture, man’s standing on the bronze podium with the 2nd and 1st place guy looking at him like 😮😧 lol But I guess this win means the world to this kid since it’s Dima!
Has the service rule of point of contact has to be behind the line , not over the table changed?? Lots of serves and especially reverse pendulum contact over the table
The match was interesting. I don't like players who shout unnecessarily and deliberately annoy the opponent. Alexis Lebrun is obnoxious, quick and inconsiderate. With the many inaccurate shots on the net, I didn't see him apologize. These are still unworthy ways to win when your skills are not enough. Harimoto was the same, already progressing slightly. I hope the rest of the young competitors are more noble and not annoying.
Ii dont know if Alexis will quit his habit to shout when he seats @ the top ? From outside it looks as ''fanfaronade'' , i would suggest he tones down ...looks more class.
Sure. Dima making those stupid noises during the rally are so much more annoying. And him not being ready for receiving the serve is just against the rules. He should have received a card for that unsportsmanlike behavior.
Adam Bobrow's commentary is brilliant! Great game, and exciting all the way to the final rally!
meh
Wait!!!is that adam speaking

He's just the best commentary 🤩I'd wish he would always do
That's Adam ? How come I didn't get it earlier ? What happened ?
What a breath of fresh air this young man brings to TT.
Indeed, Adam Bobrow really improves the entertainment value of every match!
Believe me, I'm a real Dima fan, but the energy and sheer TT joy/passion these freres Lebrun radiate is simply infectious. Gotta love it!🔥💥🔥
Fantastique match bravo Alexis continue à nous faire kiffer super.
it will pass soon...(:
If energy is be cringe af and 0 respectfull with his opponent... i guess yes
@@atarainbow210 Right? I don't understand why this kind of behavior is accepted in table tennis.
Alexis sure needs to learn to wait for his opponent when serving.. it was sthe same with Chuang Chih-Yuan as with Dima.
Ça fait tellement plaisir de voir le ping français évolué et progressé comme ça. Belle perf et merci pour le plaisir des yeux!!
I love Adam's commentary 👌👌👌
This is the first complete TT match I've watched. I really enjoyed the commentary and this great game. Thanks for the upload.

Disagree. Waldner was adaptive player, but Alexis is reading and answering very successfully on spins.

Best table tennis I've seen in a while.
The last point is showing that world TT has a nice future. Congratulations to A. Lebrun.
Alexis is doing very well this year! Hope he can keep it up!

I’m not a table tennis expert, but I wonder whether a player can play his best if his opponent shouts and screams all the time.
His opponent couldn't care less. It's not against the rules.
Shouting and screaming between points is part of the culture. It's the panting and moaning while making the shots that is novel and not very charming.
