For everyone who doesn't get why firefighters are good for this... it's mainly because their work schedules are extremely favorable to pick up jobs like this. Most firefighters only work every 3 days. This fills a bit of the gap in with extra income
He's absolutely right. Had 2 remodels done on my homes....all fireman with Los Angeles Fire Dept. on their days off. Their work was excellent.

I feel like limiting it to firemen unnecessarily greatly limits the ability for the business to grow. That's already a tiny percentage of the population, and how many of those are actually going to be able to spend any amount of time taking jobs? There is no way the app could possibly succeed unless he broadens it to police officers and other community servants.
All emergency responders and military would be a good start.

There's an app in Sweden where people can post jobs and young people mostly under 19 can take em. Gardening, babysitting etc in exchange for cash, workexperience and refrences

@@jackwilliams7738well he has the infrastructure established and he could easily network it through his own business. He probably saw the idea, wants to open it more broad to all community servants like cops, paramedics, etc, and market it on his own platform so he could be majority owner.

If the app allow firemen and the clients to meet directly, once they meet, for later jobs, they can just call each other directly instead of using the app. Much cheaper too without the platform fee

Why are firefighters so much more trustworthy than anyone else? Bizarre the sharks were all so impressed with this. A contractor app like thumbtack is great but firefighters only is a strange restriction.

I think it’s too broad and needs to be marketed more toward handymen and not just fire fighters. It’s a great idea for local small construction jobs, repairs, landscaping, etc…
