I find the longer "note" which occurs every six short notes or so actually sounds quite a lot like the cry of a young Bulborb, a similarity I find unlikely to be unintentional!
I wish the piklopedia played the enemy layers over the piklopedia music, it would make it so much easier to find out what each enemy sounds like. Especially since most bulborbs (that can sleep at least) have 1 variation for both when they're asleep or awake. It's worth noting that several of these themes actually have multiple varients. Any enemy that burrows, goes to sleep, or has any kind of vulnerable stage tends to also have multiple themes.
these wacky, simplistic, often single-instrument themes combined with the goofy yet deadpan stares of the enemies makes this vid read like a 50 minute long string of shitposts and i love it

(And then again at 51:09 when it makes a comeback.)
I really like the idea of giving a unique musical part to every single creature, especially since I’m a huge My Singing Monsters fan and this is almost exactly what MSM’s whole shtick is. The way they went about doing that kinda bugs me but that’s mostly because I wanted to arrange the area themes like MSM islands, which probably wasn’t something they had in mind
@@pepperonipizza8200 That’s fair. You could probably look up all the monsters and music and stuff if you wanna check it out without having to deal with all its mobile-game-ness
This might be the coolest thing ive ever seen, basically the entire soundtrack is one continuous song that gets more chaotic depending on how many enemies there are and what ones are nearby
I so wish these layers where put over like an actual song. it wouldve been so cool to hear all of them in Pikmin 4, rather than barely hearing them over the ambience. I dont get how they managed to make every song sound how the enemy looks/acts. thats true talent.
Same! I wish they played it over the piklopedia, when you go to an enemy they play their theme, or I wish there was an option where you could listen to it. Very grateful for this video!
hell yes i was looking for a way to find all the 'tough enemy' theme variatoins for the bosses since i kinda didnt notice it at all my first playthrough. and youve got all these others which is just a bonus
He do be grooving... You know I regrett having fought it w/o sound the first time around and also killing it in 15s.... So anyways I remedied that mistake
Groovy Long Legs still remains to be my number one, I don’t think anything will change that, I mean there are some other good ones, but I personally like GLL more
The only reason I found out about these enemy layers is because one of my reds woke up a bulborb in sun speckled terrace and I had to run away from it. With how freaking quiet the music is in this game I don’t know if I would’ve found out about this feature otherwise.
I like how the threatening is the enemy more complex the arrangement is. And for every enemy you can not just feel but feel it's presence in an enhanced form... This is so cool on pikmin 4
Here I was thinking this game didn't have the variable mixing of the previous 3 games, little did I know they went ALL out with the variations. A specific theme for each enemy? That's insane!
There's no way it took THAT long to make like 20 second jingles for every enemy, like they're barely even songs. The bosses are the only ones that get actual songs and all of them are just variations of eachother.
WAIT IS THIS ACTUALLY LIKE WHAT IS THIS REAL???!? THAT IS SO COOOOLL!! pikmin is no stranger to interactive music that changes with the environment but this is just on another level!! and the fact that these layers of music mostly fit the enemy they represent is just even more awesome!! even more of a reason to praise this game and its franchise's music! can't wait for scruffy to do a vid on this
the channel desc: “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.” Mekerda: *proceeds to put pikmin enemy theme*
25:21 dude Mamuta is definitely the best one and most terrifying one doesnt even sound like something from a horror movie, it sounds like something that would come out from the dark pits of a unknown, place where you just don’t feel pain or relief, you don’t feel anything emotions, reactions, you dont see, you dont laugh, you just hear
This makes me wonder if people could potiently do a blindfolded pikmin run? Blindfolded sm64 runs use the very subtle sound cues for the bowser throws and the lock on feature for pikmin would help
This is awesome, but I wish it were in the Piklopedia order rather than alphabetical order, so we could compare the themes of related enemies more easily.
You cant understand how i love the rolling version of the empress bulblax I dont even need to show where it starts from you can hear it yourself 12:43 hear it from the start
When paired with the location's background theme that would be playing, it's actually quite calm sounding. It does a good job of implying that you don't have anything to fear from this enemy, but the way it sounds when it's isolated like this, yeah I get where you're coming from
this is probably a bad take. but i wish all the enemies had like, 4 times as much hp so you actually had to interact with them. it made sense in prior games because you didn't ACTUALLY have a lot of control of your pikmin. sure you could march them this way and that. but they where a big surface area. but with mochi that isn't a problem anymore. the only enemies in the game i had to actually think about where the crusted rumpup and the bug-eyed crawmad.
This is actually unbelievable, I feel bad I never even noticed. So much work for something most players won't realize is happening. I wonder what it sounds like to have them played all at once.
When I encountered the masterhop I just used rush with Oatchi and my pikmin latched onto it and dealt with it in about 1 second. I didn't even know it had its own theme.
Note: Some of these are incorrect

Snowfake Fluttertail is My Favorite Snow Swallowtail SnowsPog Boss
Bearded amprat's theme actually starts at 3:48
I think my favorite little detail is you can actually hear the Hermit Crawmad layer in the Bug-Eyed Crawmad's layer at 6:41.
Never actually noticed this. I was too focused on how insane this theme is
YAY, im not the only one noticed
25:43 Expecting something cute?
*WRONG! MAN AT LEGS*
it kinda slaps though
I really like the idea of giving a unique musical part to every single creature, especially since I’m a huge My Singing Monsters fan and this is almost exactly what MSM’s whole shtick is. The way they went about doing that kinda bugs me but that’s mostly because I wanted to arrange the area themes like MSM islands, which probably wasn’t something they had in mind
God. I’d love My Singing Monsters if it wasn’t a stereotypical mobile app.
@@pepperonipizza8200
That’s fair. You could probably look up all the monsters and music and stuff if you wanna check it out without having to deal with all its mobile-game-ness
@@pepperonipizza8200 it's fine

the whiplash i got from the transition from the burrowing snagret to chillyhop was insane
4:28 Not gonna lie, Blooomcap Bloyster's theme is so eerie.
Something you should expect when about 3 of these guys are chasing you in a maze-like cave..
There’s a comment about this also but with the addition of the multiple versions of bloomcap theme
I think it goes pretty hard, but you guys might find it eerie because of the Water Wraith and the Plasma Wraith PTSD
we all know 18:16 is the most replayed XD
He do be grooving...
You know I regrett having fought it w/o sound the first time around and also killing it in 15s....
So anyways I remedied that mistake
Groovy Long Legs still remains to be my number one, I don’t think anything will change that, I mean there are some other good ones, but I personally like GLL more
18:16
Don't even try to convince me that you didn't come here just for this
The only reason I found out about these enemy layers is because one of my reds woke up a bulborb in sun speckled terrace and I had to run away from it. With how freaking quiet the music is in this game I don’t know if I would’ve found out about this feature otherwise.
a lot of these themes sound just as alien as the creature looks
8:06 I absolutely love how the chili hop is just ice cubes being switched around in a cup while , frog croaks
I like how the threatening is the enemy more complex the arrangement is. And for every enemy you can not just feel but feel it's presence in an enhanced form... This is so cool on pikmin 4
5:22 bread bugs sing the giant's boss theme :)
I love how the music before breadbug music begins is just “menacing”
I love how the music next to this one basically jumpscares you
43:25 Waddlequaff has that "living the simple life" vibe. They've gotten it figured out
I love that all the miniboss enemies are linked by a sort of marching band-like percussion line. It adds a lot to the intensity!
Here I was thinking this game didn't have the variable mixing of the previous 3 games, little did I know they went ALL out with the variations. A specific theme for each enemy? That's insane!
This is like Mother 3's enemy/party member instruments on a whole over level
MY SISTER SAID THAT !! MOTHER 3 MENTIONED ‼️‼️🙌
No era necesario que crearan una melodía única para cada enemigo, pero estamos agradecidos de que con eso le hayan agregado más naturalidad al juego!
The icy blowhog one was pretty good
I feel like these themes were the main reason why Pikmin 4 took so long.
yep.
There's no way it took THAT long to make like 20 second jingles for every enemy, like they're barely even songs. The bosses are the only ones that get actual songs and all of them are just variations of eachother.
@@bruxtlethey still cooked tho
@@bruxtleit took them alot of insturments i guess?
I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.”
Mekerda: *proceeds to put pikmin enemy theme*
the albino dwarf bulborb music spins in my head now
THE MITITES BEING BY THE HARMONIC SYNTHESIZER MAKES SO MUCH MORE SENSE NOW
Most enemies : short theme that loops in 10 seconds or so
Porquillion : best I can do is 4 minutes
Porquillion the type of guy to have a 4 minute long battle theme
he needs you to hear his entire accompanying drumline
Maybe it’s the first mini boss in the game so they wanted a longer theme for new players ?

Ah yes the Pearly Clam Clamps ufo track, thanks for this i needed to hear that isolated
25:21
dude Mamuta is definitely the best one and most terrifying one
doesnt even sound like something from a horror movie, it sounds like something that would come out from the dark pits of a unknown, place where you just don’t feel pain or relief, you don’t feel anything
emotions, reactions, you dont see, you dont laugh, you just hear
Aye don't talk bad about my boy mamuta
I mean, there was theory that mamutas were made by humans before they went extinct
these beats are absolutely fire
Drumline went hard with a good portion of these
Scruffy is gonna love this
The bug-eyed crawmads theme reminds me of splatoon one so much I love it
Probably because it actually borrows the bass from from splatoon (or is at least very similar)
This makes me wonder if people could potiently do a blindfolded pikmin run? Blindfolded sm64 runs use the very subtle sound cues for the bowser throws and the lock on feature for pikmin would help
Bug eyed crawmad accidentally flipped over on the keyboard, help him up
some of these go hard
As a marching band person porquillions theme is a absolute banger to me.
Hydro Dweevil: now we truly understand what that enthusiastic dishwashing Louie was talking about would actually sound like.
I will gladly watch a 1 hour loop of the orange bulborb's theme
FINALLY SOMEONE DID THIS
This is awesome, but I wish it were in the Piklopedia order rather than alphabetical order, so we could compare the themes of related enemies more easily.
good way to add a feeling of life to a game in an otherwise unrealistic way
The anode beetle and the gildemanwee theme is literally just :D
You cant understand how i love the rolling version of the empress bulblax
I dont even need to show where it starts from you can hear it yourself 12:43 hear it from the start
Mamuta’s theme actually gives me the chills. Not sure why (I have not played this game yet)
It's the friendliest guy in the whole game, they don't try to harm you at all
they can still hurt you, but yeah, the worst they can do to your pikmin is plant them in the ground and flower them, which actually upgrades them
@@pixelator5312 ah! So a friend. That’s good to know thank yoy
When paired with the location's background theme that would be playing, it's actually quite calm sounding. It does a good job of implying that you don't have anything to fear from this enemy, but the way it sounds when it's isolated like this, yeah I get where you're coming from
@@minimoose7772 there's two in the whole game, and they both have a treasure so you have to kill them
45:46 dead silences
Just frog
17:40 I love how this goofy ahh music encapsulates the derpy face the gildemandwee holds
this is probably a bad take. but i wish all the enemies had like, 4 times as much hp so you actually had to interact with them.
it made sense in prior games because you didn't ACTUALLY have a lot of control of your pikmin. sure you could march them this way and that. but they where a big surface area. but with mochi that isn't a problem anymore. the only enemies in the game i had to actually think about where the crusted rumpup and the bug-eyed crawmad.
Empress Bulblax theme reminds me a lot of the King Croacus theme from Super Paper Mario.
The Bloomcap Bloyster is legitimately one of the scariest enemies in the game.
This is actually unbelievable, I feel bad I never even noticed. So much work for something most players won't realize is happening.
I wonder what it sounds like to have them played all at once.
I KNEW I WASN'T CRAZY! I ALWAYS HEARD A SONG THAT SOUNDED LIKE A SWARMING TRUMPET WHEN I WAS NEAR A SNOOTWHACKER
I love how it goes from cute bread bug to , BUG EYED CRAWMAD to Bulborb to BURROWING SNARGRET
Empress Bulblax's theme reminds me of a certain Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door music
I love the burrowing snagrets theme. Sounds like something id play in drum line

Thanks for this.
41:43 I don’t see any thoughts behind those eyes…
🔵 🔵
He’s just a goober, no thoughts, no brain, just adorable
The Mamuta theme sounds like something straight out of Juice Galaxy
DAMN THE CRUSTED RUMPUP HITS HARD
This reminds me of the "instrument demos" in the LBP series
When I encountered the masterhop I just used rush with Oatchi and my pikmin latched onto it and dealt with it in about 1 second. I didn't even know it had its own theme.
crusted rumpup goes so much harder than it needed to for such a minor boss in this game
And one you only fight twice
empress bulblax sounds like something out of ttyd and for what?? it does not need to go so hard
The armored cannon larva gives me a weird feeling of nostalgia and idk why 2:25
You knew what you were doing putting the Bug-Eyed Crawmad in the thumbnail don't lie to me
He is my favorite enemy with the best theme in the game after all..
The albino dwarf bulborb kinda looks like the larvas
17:40 this fills me with unbridled joy
Goober music
Glidemandwee: hewo
We need a game where we can make out own mixs from these!
A lot of these sound like Adventure Time title card music.
