In the tenth anniversary vlog Stephen said that his greatest wish is for everyone to find someone who makes them feel how Mal makes him feel. I'm gonna jump off that and say I hope everyone finds their own Stephen because the level of care hes shown to her in just the snippets we see is amazing.

I have my own Stephen in my boyfriend. He always takes care of me the way that Stephen takes care of Mallory. I’m thankful every single day that I have him.
Stephen is the ultimate definition of a perfect husband. A lot of men could learn to live by his example - if I ever marry I know I will. #TeamMal 💛
We also all know that Mal has done the same when Stephen got his Appendix removed a few years ago. So we can clearly say that they both do take care of each other very well. And that's very pleasant to see! :3

I will say, I think Mal’s eagerness and her pushing herself a bit is very indicative of how much better her mind and body are feeling just having the endo gone. When I had a hysterectomy, my mom (who took me in for my surgery) cried when she saw me in recovery because she hadn’t realized how gray my skin had been until that moment, and that I already had color back in my face and my eyes were brighter even just being in the recovery room. And just two days into my recovery, while I obviously couldn’t and didn’t, I legit felt like I could go out and fight crime because I felt so much relief already.

Second of all, a message for Mal:
Prior to the vlog about Endo, I had no idea it existed. Somehow. When I first watched it, I thought "geez that sounds awful" and sent good vibes your way. In the following week, I decided to do research on endo because when I mentioned it to my mom she said a family member had had it.
I'm not diagnosed, but I'm a strong fit for it based on my layman's look at endo. I'm going to actually ask a doctor about a constellation of symptoms I didn't realize could be related. Even if it's not endo, or anything like it, your video and being open about endo has pushed me to get a long term pain/medical problem checked out when I otherwise wouldn't have. So thank you. Thank you for your openness and earnest resolve to share your story, because it has already helped me.

I don't think my heart has ever swollen so much until hearing how you made her an entire menu (and "I would like to place an order"- that's the cutest thing I've ever heard!) Post-surgery is not easy, but the challenge is no match for the sheer amount of love shown just in the clips here. You're truly the sweetest couple there can be.
When I was 21, my mom had a serious fall and ended up hospitalized with several broken bones. That was the first time I’d ever had that caretaker feeling - I had to suddenly leave the state where I lived, drive up to her, and spend the days in the hospital with her. There is a totally unique feeling that comes with caretaking for someone that you love. It’s equal parts honoring, terrifying, and unnerving. I was only with her for a couple days before I had to get back (other family members stepped up to care for her, and she’s fine now!) but those days really changed me. Especially considering how young I was at the time. All that to say is I can sort of empathize, Stephen. It’s a privilege to care for someone you love but it is hard.
My mom and I had to shuffle care taking duties when my dad was diagnosed with cancer. She certainly did more (med schedule, doctor's appointments, etc), but it was exhausting both mentally and physically. He's fine now, but I absolutely agree that it's life changing experience for everyone involved
Mal is a trooper. I was tearing up a little when Stephen said "no one loves Mal more than me." It was the most beautiful thing I've heard anyone say in some time. And then I was laughing because of Mal and her popsicles. "I would like to place an order" was hilarious and cute. I'm happy that she's on the road to recovery, and that you two, Stephen and Mal, have each other. #TeamMal

The part where you described making a menu for Mal? Adorable. You two are the best, Stephen you're doing an amazing job as carer and not even batting an eyelid, being there and stepping up to whatever Mal needs or wants. And Mal is a boss. We love you both so much.
Now I kinda wonder how much pain Mal was in during Extra Life when laughing to tears 😳... She's done 10 years of Extra Life with Endo!?! 😱😱

One thing that a few people have said that I wholeheartedly agree with is that Mal is so, so loved. Not just by the ever so supportive Stephen, not just by her family, but this community, too. For the ride back try searching for family bathrooms near you. I used this when I had to assist my father after surgery and I wasn’t excited about going into a men’s room and he wasn’t excited about going into a woman’s room. A lot of newer big box stores have them.
Mal Mal Mal! I get so excited when I see her now, it's like I'm a puppy XD I'm just happy she's doing ok. I also probably have endo (not NEARLY as bad, but still caused major problems for most of my life), so this all hits a bit close to home for me.
This stress me out, since i tend to overthink. This worries me but i am very glad that you guys are strong willed and caring to eachother.
Thank you for sharing the good and bad. I'm sure Mal's experience will help so many going through a similar situation. I wish nothing but the absolute best you for both. I know she still has a ways to go but I'm SO glad to hear that Mal is slowly recovering, it's also so sweet to see you taking care of her Stephen; I know she did the same for you after your surgery but it's still sweet regardless. Don't know if this will be helpful or not but, uncapsulated medication can cause nausea if there is not enough food for the meds to "stick" to. I have been taking meds everyday for years and normally I found even a single ritz cracker or two will keep the nausea from appearing. I know her diet is restriced and that she has weeks for recovery left so I hope this info will be of some use to help reduce her nausea as I know that feeling can be hell. Wishing you the best Mal my hopes and prayers go out for your speedy recovery.

You do have to move a ton. I haven't kept up as much as I wanted but PLEASE tell me yall have put her on stool softeners. With painkillers, stool softeners are a fooking must. YOU NEED THEM! (and this is for both stephen and mal and anyone having surgery) painkillers stop you the fuck up. They are needed(trust me surgery pain sucks) but they do mess your stomach up
Yeah, I think Stephen mentioned Mal using stool softeners at some point on Breakfast Stream.

I actually had to do the same thing with listing the groceries that I have because I have a very particular appetite meaning that something that sounds good one day will sound repulsive the next and so to have a list of everything to run down that list and figure out if there's anything I can eat before I resort to ordering food has been very helpful for me
The best sign of recovery is that Mal hasn't lost her humor I think :) So good to see things are overall going fine

Yeah,she did great. I've had 3 c-sections and there was definitely puking. Bowel movements were an Olympic feat. Best thing she did was keep moving and stay ahead of the pain. You did an awesome job caring for her.
Two comments: Stephen's SUCH A GOOD HUSBAND. I know the caregiving thing can't be easy. And the "room service" comment made me laugh.
Also, Mal's comment about feeling so good laying her on side- that triggered a memory for me with my back surgery. I had to stay on my back for several hours after the procedure and I remember being in so much pain and dying to change position and I literally couldn't. I don't remember the exact relief I felt when I finally was allowed to- it's just a discomfort you can't understand unless you'd lived through it. I'm also astonished Mal's kept the nausea to nausea, just speaking as someone who'd had difficulty with that in the past- especially post-op
Stephen, I again reiterate, you are an INCREDIBLE husband to Mal! You are going above and beyond for her and that is incredible. I wish I can give ya'll hugs right now. Good vibes for Mal! Good vibes for Mal! GOOD VIBES FOR MAL! 💖💖💖
#TeamMal I knew Endo was a thing. My Mom had it and was lucky enough to still be able to have kids. My sister also had it and had surgery. It was scary with that because they figured the surgery would take 4 hours and it ended up being 10 hours.

Also, Mal's enthusiasm for trying to do as much as she is reminds me of my best decision post-wisdom teeth surgery. I decided that, no, I did not want to eat the pudding, but that cheez-its were a great idea. I was very wrong, but the cheez-its were good.

Man just seeing Mal going threw all this bring up a lot of memories of my mother going in and hospital. Unfortunately she passed away 5 years ago.
I imagine that it is already better but to be on top of everything every three hours must have been very hard for both of you… It’s gonna be worth it!
Rice for Mal? Maybe add spice. Yes. Her walking will speed up going to the bathroom. Certain foods can. As raisins, tomatoes. Good you been helping her, but not forget yourself. Steady pace to win the race. :-)

I had my gallbladder taken out last month and the pain from the gas they pump inside you is extremely painful I feel Mal's pain ❤️
Dang, the blackened chicken alfredo takes me back to college vlogs.
Probably late advice, but 1 scoop of benefiber in a drink helped me after I had my babies. After giving birth, you can become constipated too, for me otc stool softeners felt too aggressive.
