Wow! Great demonstration. My heart was set on having the Accuphase run away with it. And I tried 3x to have it come out this way. Let me just say that in no way does my decision discount the excellent overall musicality of all three contestants. That said, I found, to my ears anyway, that the Mark Levinson gave the greatest sense of immersion into the music itself. I am going to have to now reconsider my bias against ML amps moving forward. Also, I’m guessing, but I bet the ML is the best amp for the widest range of music.
i just got back from bestbuy i listened to the Mark Levinson 5206 preamp, streaming Qobuz. it sounded good but it failed to impress me, it sounded like hifi , not realistic live. the $7k Mark Levinson preamp was also using its built in DAC chip, so while chips sound clear, they don’t sound 3D like DACs that use R2R technology like mine (dac Denafrips Pontus Ii 12th-1 and ddc Denafrips Iris 12th) maybe it was the kef floor standing speakers. idk at $11k and on sale for $7k i wanted to hear it, but the performance didn’t convince me to open my wallet. a better comparison would be listen to it at my house but i wasn’t impressed to go through that trouble.
I am a happy owner of both SX11 and Accuphase E480. The last is more than two time expensive. For rock music and electronic (like Berlin school) SX11 is a winner. For jazz, acoustic - Accuphase is my preference. For classic I use both depending what kind of classic it is (organ, chamber orchestra, big orchestra, opera) I don't like Mark Levinson comparing to other two. So, it is always a matter of taste, same as speakers. But in terms of price SX11 is a winner, the ones who are on smaller budget should go with SX11 saving more money for better speakers.
1. Mark Levinson, the level of accuracy of the recording and thus the sound quality, broadband, fine and coarse dynamics, rhythmic sensitivity, music breathes... 2. Accuphase more high frequency resolution without sharpness than Denon. Very good price-performance ratio 3. Typical Denon (Marantz) too soft, a bit flat, overtone limited, good spatiality
Hello, it's a great pity that with such “racing beasts”, you subject them to what I pejoratively call “chamber music”. It's a bit like having a Ferrari, a Porsche or a Lamborghini on hand, and testing them out in a supermarket parking lot: it's totally frustrating, and above all reveals absolutely nothing of the potential of your machines. There are musical groups on the market, with world-renowned productions, with undisputed “technical difficulties” (dynamics, bass, silence, complete standstill, sudden acceleration) with which your amplifiers could then be tested in a “crash test” setting. It's in the difficulty that we reveal ourselves, not in the ease. Would you buy a 4 X 4 Toyota Lancruiser to drive only on freeways? ......

Ganz klar der Accuphase
Excellent comparison. Levinson sounds most natural and neutral to me. What speaker cables are being used here?
@@tareyallen1553 Thanks you so much! I am using QED Genesis Silver Spiral Cable in this video.
Denon PMA-SX11 sounds incredible

For vocals, accuphase is the best. But for music, the balance and natural tone of the music MARK will be better.

What's your pick?
@@uncleswing4046 For the price point, Denon SX11 absolutely.
All of these three amps, Mark Levinson sounding is the best for me.
THE NEXT SOUND BATTLE YOU MUST INVITE THE YAMAHA PROFESSIONAL
THAT COST 1200 EURO FOR 1200 WATT POWER you'll see that laughing🤣🤣
Denon sx11 can the one that only deliver real sound. The rest fail. See the voices of the singer.
