Good review. I currently have the same 3.0 board with brown switches, and I was looking at this same keyboard with silent reds. You definitely should be using a wrist rest with both! I noticed that right away and your intuition at the end is correct. I have a gaming keyboard that uses red, and I'm starting to look towards that for a multi-purpose board, so I do have lots of experience with both. For lots of typing and precise work, my hesitation is the same as yours regarding the extra bump on the brown preventing mistakes, but sacrificing some quietness and ease of press.
Yeah, I was really torn between getting another brown and this. I have really enjoyed continuing to use it and I am seeing fewer accidental presses. I think that was just getting used to the board.
I LOVE this board! I do not love Reds in any form I have encountered though. I may have to get a couple of these boards and a BIG pile of Gateron Green 80g taclickies. (somewhere, a "gamer" rolls in his grave, just before respawning) Or maybe some OEM browns, but then mount the lovely KC 200 to my VALNUT resonator and see how many miles away people can tell I am typing.
I've tried cheap blue switches and did not get along with them. I was wondering about the speed silver which seem like a good balance for me. But do you know, I am really enjoying these silent red switches ATM!

I have the cherry mx 2 brown switches ( a must for modern typing) in two keyboards : 1. Chery KC 200 MX 2. Corsair K70 RGB pro And ? The key stroks in the Cherry KC 200 MX are much superior with zero wobble and actually apart from the cable , the build is better on the Cherry KC 200 MX. Though they use the same cherry mx 2 brown keys. Trust me - The cherry KC 200 mx is the better keyboard if one does not need lights. For typing lights are not needed but nice to have but if the Typing is much much better I would choose typing over lights. It is a night and day difference in Keys stability and uniformity of key stroks in favour of Cherry KC 200 MX. Night and day - THAT MUCH !! Look the Cherry KC 200 MX is the better keyboard . I have them both and I am totally not biased. It makes me think that if I need lights I might better go and see what Cherry has to offer and choose Cherry over corsair . The quality is in the Cherry Keyboards. TRUST ME. You can check for yourself and buy both. I promiss you that after that you" ll keep buying only the Cherry keboards.

If you're still experiencing a lot of strain, consider purchasing a wrist rest; I've found it to be very helpful

got the same mxboard as you with mx red switches. It died on my tonight, i probably gonna buy this one next

you should definitely get a wrist rest to elevate your wrists so you don’t strain your hands over long periods of time
i think something better for your typing may be blue switches
