    This is why flooding happens, water has nowhere to go in heavy rain, so the best option is to lay down grass and tree landscaping.

      Not entirely true.

      So many people get their houses flooding because roads around them are higher than their compounds ground level, poor drainage system among others.

      Grass prevents erosion not floods

      No! My point is that with a grass lawn, rain water can penetrate the soil and onto the ground water table. Instead of flooding the area.

    Some good points but still needs proper calculations ...you will still get sand transported, you have to get cement transported ....

    I know Savior very well from Ho Market project. Savior, I’m the pavement man that came from Kumasi.
    Honestly, I would disagree with some of your takes, namely:
    1. A standard block from a block factory or produced by an electric machine will always be stronger than a hand-pressed manual block simply because of the vibration effect that ensure proper consolidation.
    2. The difference in cost isn’t much if you do the calculations for the site manual production. Nevertheless, the cost difference is compensated by the superior quality that electric machines guarantee
    3. The algae effect is mostly caused by inadequate compaction in the manual hand pressed pavement blocks making the blocks porous that in turn causes the blocks to soak up water and become dumps. Although I agree with you that a good gradient/fall allows for effective drainage
    4. The purpose of the nylon sheet isn’t to prevent weeds from growing from beneath the blocks but to prevent water from rising from below. Those weeds grow from the gaps between the block. The nylon rather defeats the purpose of pavement blocks as porous pavement that should allow storm water to seep into the ground through those gaps
    5. I will urge Savior to get himself an electric vibratory block machines for on-site pavement blocks production

    How much blocks can l bag of cement mould

      @dwellchronicles  หลายเดือนก่อน

      The type of block determines the number. For the type you saw in the video 55/56 pieces. Radio one wheel barrow to a bag of cement.
