I have had this exact issue on my 98 XJ for over 6 years and this is the first video I have found that has pointed me to the fix I needed. My temporary fix was to just remove all of the light bulbs and disconnect the harnesses, lol. Been driving without map or courtesy lights since. I cannot thank you enough for posting this. Extremely helpful and it is so nice to have interior lights again. Cheers bud!
Any ideas on why my windows stopped working, interior lights and stereo all stopped working. I checked all the fuses and everything looks fine 94 grand cherokee
Seems like a very stubborn glitch for Jeeps. The front overhead lights in my 2010 WK Grand Cherokee will stay on for 15 mins after I shut the car off, not full on but dim.
I’m here because I got out of work got in my car hot as balls and went to roll the windows down to find out that don’t work along with my dome lights staying on. Went to shop he said they look dim so it’s probably a torn wire in the door panel, could also be a blown fuse. But I love how this guys fuse box isn’t even attached to the box. Fucking love my Jessie but god dam jeeps electrical bullshit be pissin me off
I pulled apart the panel and found there was no yellow wire. So I wasn’t sure which one to isolate. I also tried testing by moving the bunch from the chassis and still did nothing to turn off the lights.. man this is super annoying.. appreciate your fix tho but unfortunately didn’t work for me

Same thing happened to me this didn’t do anything but I think I figured it out you can twist the light nozzle to turn the lights on and off

I think I rather just unplug my battery damn 😅
I did for a while, It was really annoying to have all the dome lights on while driving at night..
