Thankyou, I was a bit sceptical about this ‘silver’ thing at first, but seeing this display now I am convinced. There are now so many spits being flown and Honouring all the pilots of ww11 in their authentic squadron markings. But I have an instinct that R J Mitchell himself would love this machine, especially displayed so well No disrespect to pilot(s) but unlike all other very worthy ww11 contemporary warbirds , the Spit seems to want to fly almost instinctively .. ok may sound daft but It’s whole “attitude” gives that impression beyond being a simple bird of prey as it were, please keep up the good work.
I saw that plane at Headcorn. I nicknamed it after The Lone Ranger's trusty horse Silver. "Hi-ho,Silver! Away!!!!"
❤❤

it is Breathtaking a real Beauty , I did follow you on Twitter Flight around the World Truly amazing , I salute you
An excellent display! I wonder if it is any faster with no paint! Chris B.
A good question which will probably only be answered if they ever repaint it in a camouflage scheme, which is unlikely given its new provenance.
Exactly what I was wondering.
Yes, lighter, therefore faster, especially with flush rivets .
