Last final , when she lost , I said don't worry ONS , titles will come, you are getting used to finals, now here it is , one of the most important WTA1000 titles , Bravo ONS ! You deserve it! Now let's go for a grandslam :D
She’s such a kind person and talented! She can do any shot and hits such great depth on her groundstrokes. Very easy to root for and great for this game! Congrats on your win Ons!
Ons' tennis is just pure magic. She got almost everything as her arsenal, speed, reflex, varieties, and craftiness, you name it, but sometimes she lacks confidence and doesn't believe in herself. Hoping that this will make her more confident in her own shoes. We love you Ons! Congrats! Kudos to Pegula as well, she's also a star of her own. 😊
So we'll deserved! Two finals in a row! Ons wasn't going to let this one go! Smart play to conserve energy in 2nd set when already 3-0 down but still make Pegula work for it, then give it all in 3rd set! 👏👏👏🙏❤️
I'm so very happy for Ons for what is the biggest win of her career thus far! I recall seeing her up close in person at the US Open a couple of years ago. I learned while I was watching that she was one of the first (if not the only) Tunisian woman to play on the WTA, that she had to qualify for the main draw, and that she was playing in one of her first grand slam event main draw matches that day. When she lost in straight sets, I watched her, and saw a rather downtrodden expression on her face (not unusual, of course), and I felt for her. Maybe that she was young, and so far from home, and being a lower-ranked player, and that she probably did not have the coaching staff/entourage with her to at least keep up her spirits. Physically, she was a bit unimpressive; she was not as tall as most female players of her generation, and perhaps a bit over the weight of most of them as well (the story of my life - shorter and heavier than most in my age group - of course, I'm no professional athlete)! I made it a point to remember her name, and said to myself that I'd watch for her. Since then, well, the rest is history; she is the consummate underdog success story in women's tennis, and with a fun to watch game too! Congratulations Ons Jabeur and tennis overall!
I love this story! :) thank you for sharing! im super happy for her, and i appreciate how you admired her from back then! You probably knew she got some talents.
Ons won Roland Garros Junior in 2011, she proved back then already that she had talent. A couple of years ago, she was already reaching the quarter finals of major tournaments like Cincinnati and Australian Open. She even reached the final of the Kremlin Cup back in 2017. Sure her W-L record wasn't as great as it is now but she didn't become a top 10 in just a couple of years...
So very happy to see Ons Jabeur winning a big final. She was always getting nervous in finals and couldn't play her best. It was such a mental block. Now that she has won a Masters, I hope she can play lose and win more titles. Her game is so so good. With more consistency and improved mental strength, sky is the limit for her.
It sure was a difficult match but she did it and she made us Tunisians, Africans and Arabs proud. Thank you Ons I hope you win further titles you deserve the best.

So nice to see Jabeur win a 1000 level title. One of the most authentic players, both in her playing and her personality. Win or lose, she always plays the same tennis, and that is aggressive, fast-paced tennis with a lot of flair.
Ons Jabeur 🇹🇳 this season so far: . The player with the most victories so far on clay with 12 victories (last season she achieved 13 victories in the entire clay season) . 17 victories without any loss when winning the first set . The player with the most victories when the match goes to a 3rd set with 8 wins, accompanied by the American Amanda Anisimova . The player with the most Aces in Madrid Open this year 👍 . In the quarter finals against Halep, she did 15/18 successful drop shots 🤯 A well deserved title 👏👏 (and hard luck to Pegula, who is also a wonderful player 🙏 )
Wow, that was a really beautiful final and a historic moment for Ons! Both players did a great job! Ons really deserves this title! Congrats, Ons! We're happy to see you wining in this beautiful way! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🎉✨️🎊💯
Just sad that she has the self-harming behavior when things do not work out for her - such as hitting herself in the head with the racket. It's not a pretty way.
so so happy for Ons Jabeur, my fave! but I will still mention - I wish the highlights would've consisted of imp points from both the players, hardly any Pegula points are shown. we want to see how the match went down, not just cheer for our favourites by replaying their shots. I am a tennis fan first, Jabeur fan second. ☺️

Ons winning a big title is a good sign for her (and dangerous for others). I would like to see her win RG, it would be a big boost for tennis in both Africa and the Islamic world. Edit: She reminds me a lot of Li Na in a way, trailblazer and very likable.

Ons bravo 👏 people should appreciate her success for the whole world. This is amazing! Not easy not physically tennis wise etc, but socially- unbelievable! We appreciate you Ons.
I was so disappointed in the Madrid crowd. I understand that they needed a break after the Alcaraz/Djokovic clash, but so few returned. It felt disrespectful.
No idea about the women's side, but on the men's side, Albert Portas, the "Drop Shot Dragon" was the best drop shotter I've ever seen (was so good with it, that it was actually a major weapon).

I’m so glad Jabeur won this for her career. Her style reminds me of the former world no. 1 Ash Barty. It’s a beautiful style of tennis to watch.
Only a matter of time for Ons to win a big title. She's similar to Barty I think but i prefer her style more.
The real victory is that all tennis players love Ons.
Congratulations Ons 👏👏👏❤❤❤ you made us Tunisian happy ❤❤❤
We Iranians are happy too.
Bravo Ons Tunisia is proud of u 🇹🇳❤️🇹🇳❤️
I was cheering for Jessica. But Ons played so well. She deserves this.
Hard work come to fruition.
Great run, title well deserved.
Congratulations Ons 😍💗💞 You made all Tunisians happy and proud 💞💞🇹🇳🇹🇳🇹🇳
Bravo bravo bravooooo ONS Jabeur vive la Tunisie 🇹🇳 ❤️ 🇹🇳 l'impossible n'est pas Tunisien fière d'être Tunisien
I guess Ons is our Barty Replacement with a prettier db backhand and a slightly weaker serve!
Congrats Ons, such an important milestone for her and for African tennis
