End of Main (EOM) Fishing

Hi and welcome to our TH-cam channel, Forster’s Outdoors. This channel is about the outdoors,

This video is about a trip to fish at the End of Main, known locally as EOM. The road in is not regularly maintained for traffic so it can be challenging for cars to attempt to reach EOM. This is a popular fishing area with areas on the shore that are cleared where cabins used to be. This area is prone to spring flooding. Years ago this was an excellent tourist/ recreation area with a lookout tower, 2 boat ramps, a store and kind of a beach. These days, not much there, not really maintained.
This trip was June 22, it had rained over night. The road surface was very soft and muddy which made it very slippery. Getting too close to the edge could result is getting stuck. The road had plenty of pot holes, large holes full of water and deep ruts.
We had attempted to launch my small boat in the Assiniboine River but the current was too strong so we settled on EOM.

Is there a dock at EOM? Sorry i havent been there during summer time. Only fished breezy point on shore and ice fishing in winter. Thank you

you could of cut off at least the first 3 minutes of driving down a dirt road.
