This video is about an ice fishing trip to Selkirk MB. Selkirk MB offers some of the best year round fishing close to Winnipeg. My experience ice fishing in Selkirk over the past few years is you catch small saugers with the occasional walleye (green back so called due to the green color of the fish) and other species like northern pike, perch and burbot.
The current was more moderate this trip so we were able to use a bit lighter lures. We were using pickerel rigs tipped with frozen minnows as well as jigging spoons also tipped with frozen minnows.
