Brocock has a new rifle and we’re the first to bring it to you. Rich Saunders puts the BRK Ghost through its paces as he sets out to control daytime squirrels and night time rats on his chicken farm permission.
Later in the programme, and after plenty of action down on the farm, Rich takes a closer look at Brocock’s new bullpup with a full review and accuracy test.

Credit where it's due. Mat is a tough act to follow but this bloke has made a pretty good fist of it. Not easy standing up and presenting to tens of thousands of armchair experts, many of whom like to think they could do better but have never had the guts to try. Keep up the good work.

I’m a Brocock fan and I’m really like the look of this rifle as a replacement for my ageing Wildcat FAC. I’ve got the Ranger xr and that’s proved to be cracking little rifle. I love the magazine and I’ve seen elsewhere how you can load 2 into the breech so as one empties you can slide the other across. Brocock seem the sensible 1/2 of the Daystate partnership now while Daystate have adopted a “law of diminishing returns” philosophy- you pay more and more for less and less - imho.
Pleased to see this guy taking over - his reviews are more thorough than Matts and I have been watching both for as long as they’ve been around - they are both the respectable face of air gunning that we want the rest of the world to see.

Nice! Love these low power videos. So accurate and not waisteful. I'm in USA recently turned all power down and shoot just like this! Absolutely love it! But these guys make it look so easy. Hard to believe that such an expensive new gun has a cocking lever that obstructs the safety. Was it designed by a committee or cobbled together from unwanted Daystate parts? Apart from that nice review 👍

@Broad Side the reason I still have a cricket after 8 years is that it's never gone wrong ever if it's not the latest gun and as for that Brocock I see they still giving you spare breech seals as they have a tendency to fire them out if you dry fire it accidentally there conpato was doing that years ago bag of shit
Well I can't comment on what other people have said here as this is new to me but I really enjoyed the video especially the two part theme. It certainly looks like a killer of a rifle. Worth a punt I think but from what I have learned, it always seems to pay to wait for the MKll version. Keep up the good work, I at least enjoy you other channel as well 👍

Enjoyed very much. What do you do with all the dead rats and other vermin? Are there protocols to follow for disposing of them like incineration or burying them at a minimum depth. This information does not seem to be covered in such videos so it may be of benefit to other viewers also. Thank you for making these videos - it is good to see people enjoying the outdoors.

Two questions if I may re the Brocock BRK Ghost...
1. The micro power adjustment wheel seems to spin fairly freely and that's one complaint I have with my FX Impact M3, so can you tell me if (like the M3) the adjuster MUST NOT be rotated while the rifle's cocked, to avoid damage / voiding the warranty?
2. The long dovetail rail the raiser rail-cum carry handle runs along on the top edge of the action, is this a standard 11mm (or 13mm) dovetail rail? The reason I ask is if I wanted to mount my Pard008S-LRF I'd probably prefer to mount it via the EagleVisionCam adjustable mount, but I'd want to remove the raiser rail first to avoid the scope being too high; is this possible or is it a proprietary Brocock rail?

Hi Russ. The wheel moves easily but with defined clicks - I doubt it will spin freely and you're right, Brocock recommend you don't rotate it once cocked. The rail underneath is a regular 11/12mm rail.

@@stuartburgon5583 Hi Stuart. I've tested all three models. The 12 ft. lbs. .177 and .22 were both putting out 11.6 and the .30 cal was 101 ft. lbs.! All three were very consistent too.
great first show with you mate, i do find it funny how every company is copying the fx impact style.... i'll stick with the original
@Broad Side thats fair but unlike daystate i'll get a reply if i need help with warranty, plus FX has just about the most aftermarket parts and as someone who likes to tinker its a no brainer.
@Broad Side also its FX that's made it so popular and arguably done it the best.
also how easy there are to change calibre and work on i get people don't like them that's ok we aren't all supposed to have the same taste but from a technical standpoint they are pretty damn good.
@Broad Side im not looking to trash daystate all together up until i got an FX i had always wanted the original air wolf or air ranger and recently looked into the new revere safari edition (beautiful looking rifle) i'll admit i have a soft spot for FX but im well aware they have faults my mk 2 wildcat was a nightmare and ended up with me getting rid.
i believe my original comment may have been a little brash but it does seem that guns remarkably similar to the impact are getting pumped out at a crazy rate these last few years.
@Broad Side i don't mean just the bullpup design obviously that's been around many years.

Might be a great gun when it works. If however you get a problem with it the neither you nor the dealer will get any help from the ghosts in the customer service dept. Sorry I would love to support British but I have 1st hand experience of even the 'dealer only' number just ringing out.

Sorry I should have made myself clear. The target that was set at 30 yards for the ghost test shots. Yes of course the squirrel shots were excellent. Just wanted to see the grouping.

Why does the gun make a weird fart noise when you fire it?
What makes you think that was the gun 😆? It seems to be a peculiarity of the Delta Wolf / Ghost chassis.
@@richsaunders6515 i think it is the huma reg refilling which is being amplified in the alloy chasis, add to that microphone placement which is usually close to the reg - and that is what you hear

After spending £1300 on the rifle, you then have to buy a new cocking lever because the original is in the way of the safety button, surely this should be free.
I'm in Essex and shoot at Pete's Farm for targets but looking for a permission. I have gun plan insurance and ex Army. I'm 55 and very trustworthy.

@@richsaunders6515I have a Gamo maxxim elite, at 30 yds it has the same shot pattern as a 12 bore!! I asked you for your advice/help about an alternative, Im sure you will now remember this conversation. To be fair I cant remember if we conversed by email or just You tube comments but you said you would help/offer advice. You didnt. Two subsequent attempts to get a response went unreplied to. I understand you are a busy man but I was brought up to believe that if you said you would do something.. you did it!! That is your measure as a man .

@@johncollard7394 I have a box FULL of them, I wouldnt want to bore you with the list, but non made any difference, I suspect the 'auto loader' is faulty, we recovered a couple of spent pellets and the skirt seemed to have material missing!?

@@richsaunders6515 well as ''I am always correct'' just ask my wife.. ;-D those nay sayers are wrong. One of the things I kept asking Matt to do was to tell us are what pellets he'd be using. As you well know each gun is pellet unique. My FX Crown .25 likes JSB King Heavy 33.95 (34) gr but my Sheridan ( yes I have and old .20cal pump the shoots almost anything but the most accurate is the H&N Field Target Trophy. Let me tell you my friend going to the range for a day shooting dozens of different types of pellets is fun yet exhausting and expensive. If you could help us out as you talk about the Kit let us know what you have found to be most accurate for each gun you use, we would be eternally grateful.
