Why would we prevent fires when most people use fire in the legal, safe way. Honestly the best course of action would be to give the kids their own fire, because the way stop a bad fire is with good fire. And yes a lot of people use the fire that killed those kids, but they obtained the fire legally and mostly use it for self-defense and hunting. And plus didn’t the arsonist have an X-Box and get bullied in school?

Reminds me of when I was a kid, and my parents always made me go to the Ikea nursery while they were shopping for furniture. Once there was a fire drill, and what did Ikea do? Literally made all the kids stand in a straight line in the room, quietly got out some kind of LEAD, and spent hours bloody clipping us all together before we got to go outside!
In a real fire, all our bodies would probably have ended up embossed into the melted plastic remains of the Ikea tables like some kind of modern, Swedish pompeii before they'd finished.

Edit: this has become my most liked comment ever in one hour. Thanks! My opinion on gun control is that we can all agree on the need for basic gun control - closing the gun show loophole, making sure that there's a waiting period and proper background checks, raising the minimum age to purchase a gun - NONE of that infringes on anyone's rights, and most Americans are for it! The NRA, however, routinely spends millions on political campaigns simply to prevent the bare minimum from being accomplished.

Are you comparing America to a burning daycare full of children who are just trying to survive while adults with all the power do nothing to help them?
Well I mean I can't really find any fault with that argument, but it still hurts...

OMG this is so accurate right now in the USA. When I think about the school shootings... the teens are trying to actually do something about it, and most of the grown-ups could easily help them just as Grant and Katie could help the kids in the video. But instead of helping, they are "inspired" by them which is nice and all but it's NOT ENOUGH. Well done CH, I really liked how you catched the surreality of the whole thing.
