I find it sickening how easily these entertainment companies can completely crush peoples dreams like this...I mean imagine how excited they must have been to have finally debuted, how much they must have practiced and the bond they must have formed together-and suddenly being told that "sorry, but we're disbanding you"... What if their company was pressured by outsiders to disband them?? If they lacked funds they wouldn't try to bring out another new girlgroup after disbanding them. I do remember seeing the poster for the new girlgroup and wondering where they got the funds for it.( They didn't debut the new girls in the end too) Just my guess.. some reasons for The Ark to disband due to outside interference. 1) the concept for their debut was related to a certain incident...that concept might have angered some ppl. 2) During the time of their debut , they were the first girl group in their generation to give out girlcrush concept.( 3rd gen all before them had soft concepts). Basically, if any group came out during the same time with girlcrush concept, ppl would prefer the first group... basically The Ark was an obstacle for some other group which was going to debut, maybe one with girlcrush concept. 3) The Ark members were talented. In fact they might have ended up like BTS if given time to grow. Famous companies didn't want another threat or competition for their groups. Afterall it's easier to kill a sapling than a tree. It's 2023, I came back here after seeing their little reunion at Suji's wedding, I don't think I'll ever like a girl group as much as I loved The Ark, they were truly the ones that got away in the K-pop industry. Still, I'm happy that they all look happy and healthy now. Wishing them all the best.

What killed The Ark was Yujin (the main vocalist) developed nodules on her vocal chords. She wasn't able to sing properly for some time, so she left the group. If I remember her company was looking around for a new lead singer but ultimately decided to disband the group. Their company isn't very large, and tbh hasn't been successful with any of their soloists or other groups (IZ is their only other "success") so it's possible that The Ark was never likely to be that successful even under the best of circumstances.

Since it's the main vocal who was affected out of all, it really made a huge impact, like it sort of lose the group's vocal foundation and it would affect the group's overall impression to the public (especially the fans who came to love the group as they were) if the main vocal were to be ousted and the rest of the members would continue as a group. It would crush their established foundation as a group. And having a new member to replace the main vocal would not be as promising and easy as you would think. An addition of new member in replacement of the original doesn't sound good. And plus they were short of funds since they came from a small company so their disbandment was really sort of inevitable. That's just so sad that they had to be under such circumstance. They could have gotten big if they pushed through like bts and bighit and without the interference of a health issue.
They better have a comeback next year! I don't want them to vanish or disband. They are needed in a place where we only seem to have sexy or cute or both concepts.

Idk why they're doing such but it reminds me of the fact that the song and music video are dedicated to the high school students who died in the Sewol Ferry Accident. Such sincerity means a lot.

Wow! I saw CLC's debut and I was blown away by their cuteness and natural body shape and talent. I was repeating their song Pepe. Checking out The Ark, just wowwwwwwwwww! New debut groups are just blowing me away! I love The Ark's song! So soothing and catchy! Gives me a 90s vibe and their dancing is soooooo refreshing! It's nice to see such a girl group debut not as a typical cutesy or overly sexy concept. Really refreshing. I hope they go far.
TuAmarion273 CLC was first introduced to me and I have become a fan to their talent and group. The Ark then debuted and after checking them out, I also have become a fan to them as well. Both groups are different in concept and style and I just wanted to point that out. No promotion for either. Just a new fan! Luis Enrique Figueroa Glad someone understood! I like this group above the rest of the groups because it itsn't the basic cookie-cutter cutesie, generic girl band. And even some boy groups. Like just looking at the wardrobe you see individuality. Other groups you see close and constant variations of the same scheme and image. I can make-out each of the girls image just from what they wear. And the choreo, it's also not cookie-cute, aegyo gestures, shy-shy-shy, peace sign, kawaii mess. I wish theyhadn't disbanded. Petition them to come back?

It’s sad that they debuted at the wrong time and was under the wrong management. They would’ve done extremely well if they had debuted now😢
What killed The Ark was Yujin (the main vocalist) developed nodules on her vocal chords. She wasn't able to sing properly for some time, so she left the group. If I remember her company was looking around for a new lead singer but ultimately decided to disband the group. Their company isn't very large, and tbh hasn't been successful with any of their soloists or other groups (IZ is their only other "success") so it's possible that The Ark was never likely to be that successful even under the best of circumstance.
Ive put everything together and it makes sense now. Since it's the main vocal who was affected out of all, it really made a huge impact, like it sort of lose the group's vocal foundation and it would affect the group's overall impression to the public (especially the fans who came to love the group as they were) if the main vocal were to be ousted and the rest of the members would continue as a group. It would crush their established foundation as a group. And having a new member to replace the main vocal would not be as promising and easy as you would think. An addition of a new member in replacement of the original doesn't sound good. And plus they were short of funds since they came from a small company, so their disbandment was really sort of inevitable. That's just so sad that they had to be under such circumstance. They could have gotten big if they pushed through like bts and bighit and without the interference of a health issue.

In this stage and at Mcountdown, Halla is dressed as a teenager and gives off that high school student vibe. Idk why they're doing such but it reminds me of the fact that the song and music video are dedicated to the high school students who died in the Sewol Ferry Accident. Such sincerity means a lot.

The company kicked out 2 members yuna and minju. other members decide to go somewhere else too.
They also lacked funding and I believe one of the members had health problems for awhile. Just, everything was against these girls and to this day, I haven't seen a girl group like them.

TuAmarion273 CLC was first introduced to me and I have become a fan to their talent and group. The Ark then debuted and after checking them out, I also have become a fan to them as well. Both groups are different in concept and style and I just wanted to point that out. No promotion for either. Just a new fan!

I like this group above the rest of the groups because it itsn't the basic cookie-cutter cutesie, generic girl band. And even some boy groups. Like just looking at the wardrobe you see individuality. Other groups you see close and constant variations of the same scheme and image. I can make-out each of the girls image just from what they wear. And the choreo, it's also not cookie-cute, aegyo gestures, shy-shy-shy, peace sign, kawaii mess. I wish theyhadn't disbanded. Petition them to come back?

3) Euna Kim took part in Unpretty rapstar 3
4) Euna and Suji took part in the Unit with Suji becoming a member of UNI.T and Euna placing 10th.
5) Minju and Euna Kim debuted as a duo KHAN with the mv "I'm your girl?"
6) Yujin now is a solo artist MAIL
7) No present news of Jane is known. I think she's still in school.
