This has to be the ultimate example of.. ''You use what you've got'' 👍😁👍
It's really incredible how you can take all those pieces and see each curve that's going to work and get them all together so it looks like you want. Mind blown!
I didn't see it until the end
Never seen anyone this good at working sheet metal before
it bottles the mind...
I remember that the general's roof was a hot mess. You'll make it awesome Brent. You always do. Thanks for the video. You are awesome
I like it!!! I’m glad the visor will work. I like it way better with it. It’s coming along. Keep up the good work
I love the way you just jump in and figure it out as you go ... This whole project looks way better than I ever thought it could when you started it..
Thank you for adding filming to your list of jobs in the shop. We appreciate the work and the effort it takes. And, you’re a master fabricator on top of it!
I like the small visor idea and it fits in box ,keeps getting better every step of the way❤
Who knew a couple of front fenders, trunk lid and a roof from an old Olds would come together as your top. Win.
Glad Ryder got his quad running, Pablo snoozed through this video.
Hi Brent and Esther, it’s this kind of creative trial and error that has me watching this channel. Reminds me of the crispy fried franken (steam punk) car. Great to see young Ryder getting his quad fixed, almost independ3ntly , while you worked.
Good stuff, I'm glad the visor idea will
work, it really adds the perfect line.
Brent really is the 'Metal Magician' - he can take an eclectic assortment of random pieces of metal and piece the puzzle together. 👍👍
I'm amazed what you can do with parts and pieces. Proves that anything can be done when you have a sledgehammer, grinder and a welder. I can see the finished roadster now.
I love watching you piece things together. It's watching an artist's vision come to life.
Just a thought about the vinyl roof..... Paint the steal to seal it, glue quarter or half inch foam to it then glue the vinyl to the foam.....and waterproof the vinyl ! Then go out and do wheelspins in the field whaahoo 🤪🙃😉😎
Really like where you're going with the top ! Nice to see Ryder working on his 4 wheelers and having fun riding it. And cool music, had a great time 🙏 Have a nice one Brent
Nice job on the roof 'buck' It's a great start. Love the visor front. I can see the vision. Look forward to more. Ryder looks happy with the progress on the 4-wheeler. He's back on the road again. Be safe and stay well.
Your new shop is great! Amazing that you've reconditioned so many tools after the fire.
Hi there Brett at least you got
old cars and parts trucks for
Parts mate
The all time greatest mash-up of crap I've ever seen! At one point I thought "oh, it looks like a Studebaker", then you switched it up, and voila! It looks awesome!
Great job on the roof Brent, i like the way you made it with the visor. Looks like Ryder was very happy to get his quad going again.. 🙂
I've been in the Hospital so I get to binge watch my favorite TH-camr 😊 The top on the truck is turning out amazing! I like it the way it is , However I have come to trust your "Vision's" as they never disappoint ! Glad to see Ryder got his quad going .
Godspeed ....
Hey Brent, after all that cutting and trimming you managed to piece together an amazing top even in it’s rough state it has a great look, great job can’t wait to see it finished in vinyl. Later
Dude, you are an amazing craftsman and a fucking genius. Love watching your creations come to life. The world needs more people like you. Oh, and Pablo is the bomb diggity!
Great result, your imagination and patience paid off 👍
its amazing watching the work and ingenuity that's put into this project. just take parts from anything and make it work !
Roof Looks awesome Brent can't wait to see the finished product
Beyond amazing how you pieced all of that together. Perhaps you should take up quilting!
Brent, as others mention, I don't know how you look at fenders , roofs and trunk lids and visually process how you might be able to stich all of it together together tofit your vision and just fit on the truck. You are so talented. Your fab work is just amazing. Love watching
Great !!! Really impressed by the process you used to build this Carson top, because it wasn't easy to find the right pieces with the right curves. It's looking good. 😉
I love the fact that there is like 4 different car manufacturers on one vehicle!!
It’s looking awesome Brent. What a great puzzle to work on.
You have a really good eye for shapes, and the skills to make it happen! 👍👏👏
😀👍 oh Brent it loooks GREAT...WOW lots o pieces
Hey Ryder, yahooo what fun
Take care all of you .. 🤠♥️
Your ingenuity is amazing, something out of scrap, I like it 👍🏻
Love watching you work. 👍😀
Really cool to see your vision of the top come together.
You have a real knack for this work Brent ❤️
A few times on this build I was like omg that looks like crap then you amaze me with your awesome skills. Been looking foward to every video on this build. Thanks for what you do and the amazing videos.
I'm glad you kept the front visor looks good like that
Brent it’s starting to look really cool . You amazing at making stuff work. Pieces parts until it works😊
The mini brow looks good
The top is looking good...see past the Frankenstein to the padded vinyl vision of a Carson and yer minty!!
Good to see Ryder back on the quad 😎👍
Greetings Brent, I'm really liking the roof, it looks awesome. 👌 Nice work sir. Take care and be safe. 👍👍
Two fenders a trunk lid and a roof lol!, nearly there :) love it!
Roof shape turned out great
So, the soft top is out and now a Hard Top. Cool 😎 Lot of extra fabrication. But you’re blessed with the skills to do pretty much what you’re feeling. Can’t wait to see this GMC put together. Thank you for sharing!
🥰💯👊👍
Awesome build! Reminds me of a ‘48 GMC custom show truck built in 1959 by the Bernardo Bros. I am fortunate to now own it & am currently reviving & documenting it on my TH-cam channel. I think you’ll appreciate the look they created!
Brent you are a Metal Magician ! Love this episode….
The top and the hood seems to be legit and is very clean, I think once u finish the final welds it will be a awesome looking vehicle. ❤️💐💐
Definitely cool and I'm glad to see that visor worked out for fit in the bed, I dig it
I'm so glad that fits in the back bed. I really like that brow!
Awesome stuff Brent. You never cease to amaze. Looking forward to seeing the next round.
Amazing work as usual! Dr. Frankenstein cobbling pieces together!😂
Brent, you are a fabricating genius! Love watching you!! I hope Miller Lite is sponsoring you LOL 😅😅 can't wait until the next video!
Minty !
Thank You for sharing your video, and letting us hang out .
Later ...
You never cease to amaze me. Awesome !
It's a puzzle top Brent! It's coming together!
Brent - your metal working skill is amazing. You have the ability to look at a complete roof skin from a car and visualize the sections of a curve that you well need to make a completely different shape for the roof of a truck. Unbelievable! What a talent! Thanks for bringing us along for the ride. I really enjoy the channel.
Sooo awesome seeing it coming together! Keep up the good work.
The way the roof came together is a lot like when you built the cab of the General. Weld, cut, shape.
I think this looks super! A little dress up and it is there!!!
Yes Sir!!!
Love watching your vision come together. Hoping you keep a visor/brow over the windshield like an old Merc
looking good Brent . Like all the other vids the process is what makes it alive
That low rider look in the roof and windows looks so kool
Love the visor look!
Brent it amazes me how you put things together. you are awesome. good job.
The rear of the cab curve is a lovely shape👌🏻
Excellent video Brent :) also super looks great on 1949 GMC Hot Rod and comes together too step by step !
love the roof work ,looking good
Your minds eye is extremely acute. You never cease to amaze.
Hey Brent! I think it is going to look and fit fine. Nice work. 😀😀
Brent, you just keep at it until it works. Good job.
That is awesome, Brent. Looking good. I have a 500 piece puzzle you could weld together for a top of another future project.
Great work Brent u amazed me incredible 😊 loved seeing u help puddings fab shop out (brake hose) u TH-camrs stick together liked the camera on the general looking over
dude..just coming back to say i really like how this turned out
Coming along nicely!
Hey Brent, enjoyed the video....I think your on the right track, looking good 👍 Ralph
Really coming together. Looks great.
Hey looks great ! Its just getting your dream to reality ! Maybe a few rails from sside to side to help lock it all together ! Then figuring just how much time you want to out into it ! The visor thing would look great on it ! Keep going its almost there ! Definitely looks better than the factory cab was !
Looks good that trunk lid was just what I was thinking now you'll need to make it solid
When I see your roof I picture a hardtop convertible like a Ford, let it double as a cover.great work!
Consider: Two thirds of a conduit/tube will make a usable top cap for the cab edge onto which you can weld the roof back and then just set it on the back of the cab and it will shed water and stay seated. Bo.
Thanks for the video Brent.
Hat's off to you sir, the roof is looking good.
After reading all the comments when it comes.to Brent's methodology to metal fabrication..."just trust the process "😂😂😂 it will speak for itself
the happy scientist, that's wicked awesome build
Definitely looks good Brent Great idea
Brent you are a wizard with sheet metal!!
The, visor-roof is 100% awsome!!! 👍
It's coming together. Looking good, I like it. Ronnie.
You should look at maybe using the rear window and surrounding from an old Volkswagen beetle. I think It would work perfectly and look awesome. Just an observation. I love this build man.. love it
eight or nine pieces of metal. hours of fitting, adjusting, cutting, mind is blown...
Frankenstein roof, I love it!
You Sir are a fabrication genius. That removable roof is coming along quite nicely. Who knew that you could combine a trunk, a hood and a couple fenders and come out with a roof? Stay safe Brent.
That fitting job was some kinda magic...don't know how you did it even though I saw you do it!
You are very talented, have a wonderful weekend.
Great work, great vision, smart using trunk lid, 👍👍
Wow,ur Dicing and slicing is working out pretty Nifty. As usual it's in your wheelhouse like the visor
