I’m seriously considering moving from 923 to this 245 or 243
Interesting collab video recently posted by @EFGMC (Mobile Club Maker) and @MrShortGame..mats reduce spin. They sprayed water on the mat, then placed a dry ball down. The water recuded friction between the ball and the mat, and spin increased by about 1,000rpm.
Love it. I also recently
Upgraded to the 245’s from
the 923 forged. Different shaft. Ordered at standard specs however will get them adjusted to 2 degrees flat ASAP. Beautiful irons ❤
Waiting for 245. Been a couple of weeks. Getting built to my specs!
Just got fit for the MP 245 myself. While, my launch, peak height and descent angles looked good, I certainly saw low spin numbers- mid-4,000rpm with some of the shafts I tested. In the end the DG Mid 115 gave me the best spin numbers (Project X IO 6.0 was second) hovering around 5400-5500rpm. I play the Pro V1x (and currently testing the ‘24 Tp5) which should give me more than enough spin to play with.
I was getting low'ish spin numbers also. I ended up going with the KBS Stiff 120. Spin numbers were in the low to mid 6000's. Exact same height as the MD Mid 115, much better spin. Did you try the KBS tour shafts also?
I just got fitted into for the pro 245, 1 degree up right with DG s300 115 gram. Can’t wait for them to come.
Just sold my JPX 923 HMs and am also moving to the Players Distance category. MP245's are on the list.
love Cog Hill
To be fair one thing I’ve noticed with the 245’s is that the 4 and 5 iron spin way more than the rest of the irons . I also found that with the Titleist T200 irons .
Replaced 4 iron with hi/fli 4 driving iron same loft more versatile less spin, 5 - GW 1 degree weak awesome ball flights
Came from Tik Tok. Great video
Thanks for watching!
I play the 245 , fitted at Mizuno in Cumbernauld Scotland , if the fitting is using the interchangeable head they feel nothing like the actual irons 👍
As in they feel much better without the interchangeable head? I just got fitted the other week for them (interchangeable head) and they felt butter haha
@@aaronrogalsky4167 your in for a surprise when you get your one piece irons , I’m biased as I only play Mizuno irons 🤣
@@keithmason5584 Now I'm more stoked! It will be worth the 4-6 week wait then. Current 2019 P790's are great irons, but while being fitted for the MP 245's I just felt spoiled lol
What shaft did you get fitted into? It was a toss between three for me, but ended up getting fitted into the KBS 120S. Average swing speed of 87mph with a 7 iron
@@aaronrogalsky4167 my friend plays the P790’s and we were pretty even on iron distance when I played the MP223’s now I have the 245’s my 6/7 iron average an extra 15 yards over his and my P/9/8 have such a great flight they stop on a penny , I stuck with the Dynamic Gold Tour 120 shaft as I’m a traditionalist (found what I like) and won’t change 🤣 still playing Cobra LTDX woods as new ones don’t feel the same , will find something at some point I like and upgrade my woods too
@@keithmason5584 Nice! I have never really considered Mizuno's until last year (waited till this year for the 245) and I was shocked by how good they felt. Not chirping Taylormade by any means, but the Mizuno are very premium quality. Now I understand why so many people who game them never go back.
The G425 woods/hybrids are being blwon out the door now (atleast in Canada). I'd take a look at those. Picked up a G425 3 Hybrid 40% off the other week.
I play the 225's and am looking at the 245's. Not sure if it's an upgrade for me as I don't need higher launch & I spin it pretty good. They seem to be slightly more forgiving but very similar.
The main difference is that the 245's are a hollow body design with material inserts in the long irons.
You just described the 225’s
The longer irons (2-7) in the 245 have more tungsten than the 225 to improve launch. 46 grams vs 28.5 grams.
