thank you so much for this wonderful review that I was hoping to see specially from you . I have only one thing to complain which is you didn't address anything about the lack of the honor c1 rf chipset in the regular model and How that affect the phone compare to the pro model in term of communication connectivity .

Hi Lim, any idea is Maxis will be offering Magic 5 device for their post paid plans? After my visit to Maxis store, they mentioned high chance they will not bring in the Magic 5 and they already have the Magic 5 Pro. If they follow last years foot steps, they only brought in the Magic 4 Pro, and no Magic 4 Lite.
I'd like to ask will the software influence how the hardware works? I have heard honor has not so good software so for long run is it worth it?

Used my new Honor magic 5 (non pro version) for 5 days. Self collection at Senheng.
Compared with my previous s22. Better battery and smooth user experience with Magic UI 7.1 are game chargers. Absolutely loving it!

That Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 horrible efficiency drains s22 battery too fast.

it seems like pro series camera tends to have more saturated colours ..... I am more to realistic true colours, magic 5 is a good choice but the only thing is there is no IP68....

Probably a matter of taste, but coming from OxygenOS, to me MagicOS is mostly a step down. I get random device locks (lock screen kicks in), a fair share of bloatware (okay) and HONOR OS-integrated crapware (not okay) like H. SHARE, H. CONNECT, H. ID, YOYO, none of which add functionality or can be hidden 🤢 to make matters worse, the Magic5 Pro for some reason has raised little to no interest in the XDA community (despite superb hardware) so little rooting/ROM support so far :/

It's an ugly camera lens ever built😂 and 3,499 is not an affordable but it's a choking price.
just not worth buying the standard magic 5, being a so called "flagship" the main camera don even have OIS, screen resolution is lower just about FHD+ rather than pro version 1.5k screen and even worth IP68 removed. For this price why don just buy a Oneplus 11? main camera come with OIS and Hasselblad color tone, 2k screen resolution and atleast come with IP64 for more worry free daily use. Not to mention that Oneplus 11 come with bluetooth 5.3 while magic 5 just 5.2.
