I've said things after drinking double tequilas that I'm not exactly proud of. Some of them were true, but regrettable.

What is a "woke culture" ?
"Woke culture" refers to a social movement and mindset centered around awareness and advocacy for social justice issues, particularly related to racism, inequality, and oppression. The term "woke" originates from African American Vernacular English (AAVE), meaning to be aware or conscious of social injustices. Over time, it has expanded to encompass a broader focus on progressive political stances regarding race, gender, sexuality, environmental issues, and other areas of inequality or marginalization.
    Origins of Woke Culture
The term "woke" first gained traction during the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s, referring to staying alert to racial prejudice and discrimination. However, it became more widely popularized after the rise of the Black Lives Matter movement in the 2010s, particularly in the aftermath of high-profile cases of police violence against Black individuals.
    Focus on Social Justice
The woke culture emphasizes the need for systemic changes to address historical wrongs and ongoing inequities. This includes advocating for policies that promote racial equality, gender inclusivity, LGBTQ+ rights, and environmental sustainability. The movement also highlights the importance of being "woke" or conscious of how privileges affect one's perspective and social participation.
    Controversies
While many support woke culture's advocacy for fairness and inclusion, critics argue that the movement has become overly radical or divisive. Detractors often cite concerns about "cancel culture"-where individuals or organizations are publicly shamed or boycotted for expressing views seen as contrary to progressive ideals-as evidence that the movement stifles free speech and open dialogue.
    Current Relevance
Today, woke culture remains influential in discussions about politics, media, and education. It has encouraged debates on how history is taught, representation in the media, and how to create more equitable policies in the workplace and broader society.
In short, woke culture embodies a modern commitment to social awareness and advocacy for marginalized groups, though it is not without its complexities and criticisms.

Want to know what's a cry baby?
Someone that cries like a b*tch about other shit that doesn't matter. The only people that let something like cancel culture impact them are those too weak to handle popularity and everything that comes with it.
