CAPE FALCON on the Oregon Coast

Join me in discovering another gem-of-a-hike on the spectacular Oregon Coast, Cape Falcon. Our trail traverses 2.5 miles each way through a lush coastal forest and meadow, culminating with a breathtaking view of the rugged Pacific coastline at the headlands, and majestic Neahkahnie Mountain across the bay.
These coastal trails are often “under the radar” to us inlanders because we tend to focus on the vast Oregon mountain ranges, wild and scenic rivers, deep gorges and canyons, and the high desert - a testament to the vast and diverse Oregon landscape.
Cape Falcon is part of the 425-mile Oregon Coast Trail. The trailhead is on Highway 101 in Oswald West State Park, about 10 miles south of Cannon Beach in Arch Cape.
