Seriously guys. We try and find different youtubers (often canal based, but not always) to watch. Most, like yourselves, are simply documenting their daily lives, but this as you have suggested is not as easy as it may seem to the lay person. Know this - there are very very few that cut the mustard as well as you do!! Your videos are superb. You don’t even have to be doing anything much, but you guys have a way about you and your video production is awesome. Don’t worry, we just love what you do, so don’t ever doubt yourselves. 😊👍

You two are more than narrowboat vlogs. Keep up the excellent content and editing.
Canal boats might be why a lot of us first watched you, but we stayed for YOU.
You have a calm, simple life full of finding joy in the everyday, ordinary things, and it’s a rare treat in todays world to find a young couple on TH-cam that’s not trying to be flashy or influence people into excessive consumerism.
William is certainly a product of that environment - whilst he has his standard 2yo moments, he is for the most part a very content, intelligent and happy go lucky little guy. You’re both doing a great job raising him.
And Jo, my eyebrows always look like that for the first few days after I get them tinted. My daughter calls it my ‘angry face’ 😉🤣
This is probably not an easy thing to do, but you need to stop over-analysing things. The reason people watch you and your family is the same reason people love The Detectorists. You portray a gentle, loving way of life. No massive stresses, just a WI, Middle England way of life that is appealing and chilled. It's not a complicated recipe, but it is extremely tasty to a lot of people. Stick with it...

Actually, I'd have to differ with you. I watch these guys because of the narrow boats. I find that side of life appealing. Now that they are selling Zero and are basically now land lovers, I'm finding it hard to stay around. Don't misunderstand me, I genuinely like the three of them but living as normal folk do, kind of makes the videos less appealing to me. Maybe it's just me, and I certainly do wish them all well in life. I'm just finding it hard to watch their videos these days. I miss the laid back canal boating endeavours they had.

Our kitchen electrics kept tripping out & totally confused us as we'd unplugged all the appliances and still no joy. We called out an electrician at great cost...and in 30 seconds they traced the problem to an old dishwasher (that we never used) - still plugged-in to a hidden socket - duh! Love the eyebrows Jo!
As a videographer, this material is well done and fascinating, very different from the Narrowboat concept. I think you’re onto something. Keep it up! Mark I’ll still be watching
I never miss your videos, they are excellent. I'm not sure everyone realises how long it takes to set up your shots. The cycling sequence alone is a lesson to any aspiring video-makers. Liz 👌🙏

Enjoy watching Jo working in the kitchen...she's lucky to have the counter space to work on. Vic...just do you and whatever interests you and Jo is fine. You tell some interesting stories and the photograpy is good too...don't worry so much as those of us watching you aren't perfect by any means so we can't expect that of you. Thank you for showing us all what we probably already suspected… that vlogging, boating, running a family and a small business is definitely not all rosey sparkles. I also worked as a television editor for quite a few years working across ITV, BBC and Channel 5. As much as I love editing I don't miss the all-nighters or the directors who insisting on 'trying an edit' even though you inform them it wouldn't work from a storyline point of view. But you do what they want for a few days then they just say, no, I preferred the original. Happy days.
At least you record interesting stuff, and you have the guts to do it. My life is boring, and I wouldn't even know where to start doing a blog. Let alone have people actually interested in your life. Take my hat off to yous xxx

I don't know how others do, it but I watch for the creators. If I find content creators that I like and whom I feel are decent people I will watch. I am not so much interested in what you are doing but that you are honest and genuine and not making things worse. I am too poor to support other than by watching but that I do. That 'Enthusiasm' Roller-coaster, is typical of so many creative processes. I have a home music studio that I can use 24/7, but anticipating those ups & downs can be enough to make you want to put-off the effort. But you just have to push through it and more often than not, the results speak for themselves.

Vic, with your sense of humor your videos are never boring. As far as the "items" in the cushions: we've all been through that. Joanna - love the eyebrows. "Enjoy" them while you can because as you get older you'll have to "draw" them on. lol Oh, this is a grandma speaking of course. The venetian blind in the stairway that Will pulled the cord on? Please, please tie that string up to the top where he can't reach it. Here in the US they no longer sell blinds with pull cords like that because toddlers were getting choked. Oh my gosh, we don't ever want to see that happen . We all love that little guy. Take care. Joanna, the mince meat looks fantastic. I remember my mother making pies when I was young. The microplanes are sold as kitchen tools and also as woodworking tools. I have several in my woodworking shop. Very useful to shape wood. My wife has one of similar length to yours for use in the kitchen. It sounds like a faulty earth protection device, in the US we call these Ground Fault Circuit Protection.
I always love watching you guys and your adventures with Will. I am disappointed that you are not on "o" anymore, but I understand how hard it was with two boats. Keep up the good work making fun videos and keep having fun.

The best video I watched of you guys was when you showed the entire process of making the cakes, etc to setting up the sale to the actual sales along the side of the river, and all the issues you had to deal with in between (including juggling everything).
Am I the only one who wanted to see the finished mincemeat pies, lol! Watching them being made was very interesting and I enjoyed it but man that is a lot of work.
Great video! I loved the stop-motion at the beginning, too! It is odd that you choose not to talk about a topic that clearly fascinates you.
Please contact your landlord about that missing screw on the consumer unit, being able to put your fingers into the unit and touch live parts is a very serious C1 failure

Listen guys…life is what it is. No one wants trauma or mega lows and the occasional highs are very welcome. I live in a pueblo in Spain and apart from the weather it’s the humdrum pattern of everyday life that makes it what it is. Just keep doing what feels right it’s what we all enjoy.

The outlet in the back of the cupboard under the sink might be accumulating moisture inside, especially in this colder weather if the kitchen is warm (i.e. Jo is baking!), causing one leg to go down to earth, which will have been tripping the RCD.

I always love to see the 'behind the scenes' of the videos I watch. I'd watch a video following you around as you make the main video, there are so many creative shots that I'd love the see the magic behind them. I love to see how happy Jo is while baking and how happy you both are when being with William.
