Welcome to the ABBA world! You're here for a treat. So some basic information.
The band was formed by two married couples: Agnetha Fältskog (blonde) & Björn Ulvaeus (plays the guitar, one of the songwriters) and Anni-Frid "Frida" Lyngstad (brunette) & Benny Andersson (piano, one of the songwriters).
The band was formed in 1972 in Stockholm and became famous due to their Eurovision win in 1974 with their hit song 'Waterloo' (I recommend reacting to it). In the 70s and the late 80s the band had many no. 1 hits, including 'Dancing Queen' (legendary song, their best known and most successful song), 'Mamma Mia', 'Chiquitita', 'Knowing Me, Knowing You', 'Super Trouper', 'The Winner Takes It All', 'Slipping Through My Fingers' (not a no. 1 hit but still very known song), 'Angeleyes', 'Does Your Mother Know', 'Take A Chance On Me', 'Thank You For The Music', 'One Of Us', 'Voulez-Vous', 'Fernando' and 'SOS' to name a few 😅
In 1982 ABBA did an unofficial breakup. Many say that it was due to both of the couples divorce but ABBA themself say that they just got bored with ABBA (what ever you believe 😂). ABBA became even more popular in the 90s when their best selling album 'ABBA Gold' was released. After that they did a jugebox musical from ABBA's music called 'Mamma Mia' which is still one of the most successful musicals of all time.
(Fun fact: ABBA was offered 1 billion dollars to get back to getter but they turned it down)
In 2021 ABBA released a whole new album 'Voyage' after 40 years (which includes my personal favorite ABBA song 'I Still Have Faith In You' which got nominated for a Grammy. It was ABBA's first Grammy nomination EVER! ISHFIY is such a good song and ABBA made it while they were in their 70s which is so cool). In 2022 ABBA launched a new concert. My english skills don't really know how to explain the whole thing but I reccommend to learn about the concert. Let's just say that it involves virtual "ABBAtars".
Actually, the full song has an instrumental breakdown of bass and strings after the second chorus, which was edited out of the music video in 1979. But it was retained in the recently released lyric video. I think you would enjoy this version even more! th-cam.com/video/-mHMvYn6RVs/w-d-xo.html

I never knew it had ever been edited out. I just figured some youtuber cut it short for this video. Having just googled I now find it was an edit to dumb it down for the American market. Which makes sense as there were a lot of records ruined by American editors for their market.
We've waited 40 years for a comeback. Back then they produced one hit after the other. Finally they released a new album in 2021!! I was so excited when I heard of it.
Search "ABBA Voyage Opening Night" and you will see them in 2022. Frida and Agnetha still are beautiful.

I've seen this video a million times and yet you make me see it through fresh eyes, lol! ABBA appeared at the opening of Voyage in London back in May last year. There are plenty of pictures and news videos that show what they all look like now. And the girls wore complimentary all-white Fendi outfits 😋

is a song influenced by American disco, after the success of the Bee Gees and the movie 'Saturday night fever" from the year before
In this song you can see part of the volume and range of voice that the blonde Agnetha has
ABBA was preparing their 1979 Tour of America and Europe, in the previous one , They recorded this song and filmed the official video
There is an official video in which all ABBA is seen in the recording studio,
including staff musicians (bass, guitarist and drummer) and sound engineer Michel Tretow at the controls, creator of the well-known 'ABBA sound' with his innovative 'wall of sound' multiplication technique (an adaptation of the works of Phill Spector)
These is a short versión, the recording of the single is more than 4 1/2 minutes (with a solo instrumental)
But in last months ABBA did a new official lyric video of "Gimme gimme gimme" full versión
The introduction and the instrumental ending,
that characteristic sound of Benny's keyboards,

There used to be a longer video of this song on TH-cam with the 2 girls in TIGHT blue jeans and driving and going to a club at night, with a SICK breakdown in the middle bridge. I can't find it anymore, sadly!
