Nice to see an old tree trunk providing nutrients for new plants. Mahalo, Scott 🌺

Thank you! I can't believe how much time has passed since this happened and you first brought us out.

I was just thinking the same, nearly 6 years here soon!
The tree molds still amaze me as much as the 'sparkles' amaze Scott! (They're very cool to see, which surprised me we didn't get to see any on this tour.)

Haven't visited the lot for a bit. Love seeing the plants out there working hard to establish themselves, as well as the various lava formations. Mahalo for the visit.

Good to see how nice the lot’s looking these days. Loved our tour of it when we were there last October. I still owe you some photos. Take care, Scott!

Almost six years on and it’s still just as interesting! Also beautiful.

Mahalo for the tour, Scott. It was nice to see the corner Ohia tree is still growing and to see the baby ohias popping up. It still blows my mind how you were able to create a stable path through some of that hollow stuff that breaks so easily. Hope you didn't get soaked.

It's nice to see Lazarus is still hanging in there, I was just wondering lately if he was still alive at all after the last update. Thank you Scott ❤

I love how your lot is still marked by a strand of twine, a string of cord. Although i see some attempts at more 'permanent' lava stone markers appear, it all remains to be seen how long they will last in an ever changing landscape, shaped by the goddess.

Been a while since I watched one of these. Good to see the steam seems to have stopped. Funny how Fissure 8 even with its Hawaiian name is still called Fissure 8.... kind of like your own Diamond Head.

Wow 6 years since the eruption. Thx for the lava lot tour. That is nasty looking material.

I heard the volcano is erupting again in the southwest rift zone.

Thanks for showing us around Scott, interesting as always 👍 , how often do you have to renew the rope on your boundary line ?

Has fissure 8 gotten smaller? Possibly erosion?

Apparently ferns are a pioneer species then because they seem to be the first ones that will produce the most organic matter to feed back into the land.
