I have a serious thing for this watch ever since I saw it in the John Woo film "Broken Arrow" being used prominently by Travolta. I had no idea about the self adjustment in the clasp. Very cool. I suspect with this version being marked "Navitimer", like you pointed out will be highly sought after by collectors. Such a pristine example too! Thank you for sharing.
    Cheers,
    T.

I have the same watch, 30 years old but still looks great near new. Two tone and thin and light like a feather, extremely comfortable.
After watching you, I will need to do a Breitling full service for probably $620 plus, and Yes it is the Bees Knees. It is more a fashion item today( as my other watches are as accurate and my Citizen Titanium Eco drives do not need a battery change). The dual coating on the sapphire Crystal makes the face and hands pop.

I was born in 1985. Not digging the gold but the watch is fire!

The Gold inlays on the band have seemed to have tarnished a little but not on the Grey titanium areas. The Gold markers are still great.

I stumbled upon this by searching for something else (like always haha).
I just wanted to point out that that watch doesn't have the original movement. In 1985, the ETA 988.332 didn't have the AD and SP functions in the chronograph. Those came much later with the ETA 988.333.
It's nice that it was upgraded but the screen on the base ETA 988.333 is nowhere near as nice as the ones used in the 988.332 by Breitling... I know, I own a 1989 one lol.

Anyone know how to re-size the bracelet? I managed to get a similar one and cannot work out how to take out the links.

I seen one of the watches in a shop in London and they cost £1,700 to as much as £2.000 to buy second hand

The digital display seems to show one minute different than the analog hands

It is showing current time. The clock actually shows you the amount of time that has passed, so the watch itself moves the minute hand every 30 seconds, hence the so called delay is there.
