Loretta Young always reminds me of my beautiful mother. Her grace and sense of right snd wrong. The joy she brought to her family and all who were blessed to have known her.
That’s a beautiful tribute to your sweet mom. Ir made me think of my own sweet, beautiful mother, who was born in 1921 and probably saw all of these wonderful movies. I miss her a lot, as I’m sure you miss yours. Thank you for sharing your sweet memory of her.
Loretta Young movies remind me of my dear mother, who passed away two months ago a few days after her 96th birthday. My mother was the most wonderful, humble, loving, caring, generous, unselfish, sacrificial mother and unwavering faithful wife to my amazing, wonderful father, a WWII veteran. He, too, passed away two years ago at age 100. They were married for 76 years. Of course, this new generation will never fill the shoes of the Greatest Generation to ever live in this world. They taught us to have faith and obey our Heavenly Father/Creator of the universe and to love and respect our neighbors regardless of ethnic or social backgrounds. I have a hole in my heart ever since my parents went to be with the Lord, but their exemplary faith, lifestyle, humble attitudes, and unselfish actions live on imbedded deep in my soul. 🙏
1936 Accord chasing a 1936 Auburn, 2 very beautiful cars and a 1935 Knucklehead Harley Davidson motorcycle in pursuit, great movies and acting back then, thanks TH-cam for up loading this kicks movie. 2-1-24
I knew ty 4 weekes ago, in that time i watched most of his movies inspite i'm egyption and English is the 2nd lang. I fall in love 'e this handsome man ,he was the most beatiful, charming man, his eyes❤his lashes, his voice❤❤❤
You knew him 4 weeks ago means you met him 4 weeks ago . Now that is impossible. He died years ago. Perhaps you mean you first watched him in a film 4 weeks ago.
That second last long scene where the cameras kept rolling as they rushed down the street with so many extras AND cars was extraordinary & WAY before its time 👏 👏
Fun movie, classic “Golden Age” actors. There is a 1948 Remake of this movie called That Wonderful Urge also staring Tyrone Power (again), leading lady is Gene Tierney, definitely a worthy movie to watch again
Tyrone, Don, and Loretta together. What a pleasure.I`m in love with a man dead for most of my life but I can`t help it. Tyrone Power is probably the most attractive man in history.
Beauty Is Loretta Young ❤ We were lucky to have had her and the Rest of the Cast ❤ Tyrone Power SO Handsome ❤we are blessed to Watch them all Together ❤😢❤🎉
Can't believe I have never seen it!❤ 😂😂😂❤ Loretta is hilarious! I am not even really following it right now & still cracking up! That gal will give her hubby grey hair 😂😂😂❤
Loretta Young wins best acting of this powerful trio! I love Tyrone Power, Don Ameche and even George Sanders, but Loretta was a master at showing her feelings even without saying a word. Watch her towards the end when she is reading the note Steve Leyton leaves behind in the safe.
Glad you enjoyed it! Don Ameche won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Cocoon (1985). I post Loretta Young movies here: th-cam.com/play/PLk3CReZFhoBfB5SIN9B2GJ92JILP8MY8p.html

Oh, what fun! And if all you lovers of old screwball comedies want some more recommendations, try "Midnight", with Don Ameche and Claudette Colbert (NOT the Bogart movie of the same name); "It Happened One Night", with Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert, and "The Philadelphia Story", with Katherine Hepburn, Cary Grant, and Jimmy Stewart-- my top three all-time faves. 😊😊😊
... "The Grapes of Wrath" (1940), for which she won the Academy Award., and "Gone with the Wind" (1939) ...and memorably cast against type in "The Ox-Bow Incident" (1942) ... and... more
Actually, George Sanders was born in Russia to an upper class family. They had to move to England when the 1917 revolution forced them out. He actually spoke several languages fluently. The character he was playing was supposed to be a phony; that’s why he played him that way. Could an actor that bad have won an Oscar 15 years later?🤔😅

Best example I ever saw of star power saving an otherwise horrible movie

Oh what a surprise! If the actor is British either he is cast as a villain or a moron. Jealousy from British haters. American cliché 😂😂
