Having played bass for Lani M. many times in my career, I can attest to her down-to-earth humility. She has the distinction of being the only Filipino artist to break into the Las Vegas strip entertainment scene and was voted Best Singer in 2008. In 2009, Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman proclaimed December 4 as "Lani Misalucha Day" in the city.
Tara to me, is the best vocal coach on TH-cam. You can't get any more succinct and accurate reviews anywhere.

I like your 'microphone' comment! An indication that you really know not only about music but also how to make necessary adjustments to improve one's performance.
I mean, that's kind of common sense though. The only thing I would say it is it's good to remind us that we shouldn't be afraid or too nervous to move the mic. That's the only reason people tend not to do that when they know they should. It has nothing to do with "knowing about music".

Lani is already one of the best singers in the Philippines. She is already part of the industry way back 1990 and is 50 years old yet she sang so good! thumbs up!
The song literally means "I will love you tomorrow". It's a tragic love song of finding your true love, your soulmate but the timing is wrong. They are already both in a committed loving relationship. And decides that they will not be selfish. Here, the woman sings about what ifs, the tragedy of meeting too late and hoping/promising to love the man in the next life.

Lani was singing about two people falling in love when they are already in their respective relationships. Hence, she sang that she will love him tomorrow/in the future when their hearts are already free/r.

It is amazing to see how much power and fullness she has even on her quiet sounds. Tara used to word decadent and I feel like that perfectly encapsulates what I am trying to describe. Then the diction. It is so crystal clear. I can't speak the language at all, but I can clearly understand each individual sound. This is a masterful performance to say the least. It is so impressive hearing the polarity between her "small" notes and big notes.
Now that I am done fan boying, Tara I am back again to request that you react to Tank and the Bangas Tiny Desk Concert on NPR. They are one of those groups that deserves more acclaim then they have in my opinion.

I'm so glad that you were able to feature a seasoned singer like Miss Lani Misalucha. She's been in the industry for a long time but still manage to stay relevant, and her voice still has that awe factor. Very masterful, I must say.
This coach I swear. My regrets about her are
1) She doesn't speak Filipino
2) She hasn't had the chance to sing in the Wish Bus

Wow, she's soo good. Love how her voice has a wider range making her singing sound more powerful. I would agree with you, she's using a lot of technique there. I'm a fan of Lani for a long time already coz she's so good but I did not understand how good she was until you digested her techniques in this performance.
