I’ve seen cows that were bred, if the fetus dies for some reason early enough, the cow will just absorb it and you never know anything happened till she don’t calve.
Good morning BP and CP ☕️☕️👍. Looking wet the next couple weeks here, so been spraying incrop the past few days. Should finish this morning. Couple weeks till the boys are turned loose here. Sent out a couple culls and a bull last week to the sale. Unbelievable what they brought. $1.96 for the cows and the bull brought $2.16 a pound. Remember during BSE we bought feeder cows for $0.32 a pound and calves around $0.88 to $1.00.
@@bcpfarmandtrucking6560 what goes up comes down sooner or later it seems. When things are good, it’s a good time to pay things off and grab a couple upgrades. Life of a livestock producer it seems. Still considering price insurance on my calves for this fall. But have a gut feeling they will be just fine for price. If not, we’ll double down and buy more calves to feed with ours, still a shortage of cattle out there, especially if the herd starts rebuilding.
How are you liking that new chute? I’m in the market for a new one but not looking to pay a fortune like the big brands so curious on how your liking it? And if you have a contact for them ? Thanks

Everything seems so well behaved the calf just had to say, meh not me. 👍
