Super demo Doctor! One question.... in the Swing Band section starting at 4:06 you are alternating between the Concert Grand and the Brass voice in the RH. Are you switching the upper voices using a foot pedal? or does the PA700 recognize the different force (or chords vs single-note) and automatically switch voices?

Thanks for your comment. I'm using velocity range. The velocity-range from the piano is set from 0 to 95 and the velocity-range from the brass and trumpets are set on 96 to 127. So if I strike the keys gently you hear the piano and when I hit them hard you hear the brass and trumpets.

I have a Korg MicroArranger and a Korg PA900 but I have no mentor so I have been struggling to understand the manuals and how to use some of the wonderful but hidden features like this. With your detailed reply to help, I stayed up late last night to learn how to do this on both keyboards! This is going to be SUPER HELPFUL. I can’t thank you enough.

Hello Wicky, this is the best PA700 demo on the web. I'm trying to decide what to purchase, this one or a PA4X that probably would be oversized for my needs, since I don't use at all the vocal harmony or the dual sequencer, while I'm interested to hook up the keyboard to some of my old good organs (using the chord recognition for lower manual). I believe the PA700 would be the perfect choice. I need a coupe of opinions: the organ drawbars quality is the same of PA4X? And, driving the PA700 from a master keyboard or an organ with after touch (for example my Yamaha EL-90) will it receive AT commands for its realtime parts?(Upper1/2/3) ? Thanks a lot in advance.

Thanks for your nice comment on my video. About Pa700 vs. Pa4X that's a easy comparison. The quality of the sounds of the Pa4X are basicly the same as in the Pa700 but because the Pa4X has more and better effect dsp's, use streaming-technoligy, and has better d/a-converters, the Pa4X sounds better then the Pa700. Also Pa700 has no aftertouch (I don't know if it receives AT) and Pa4X has more sounds.

@@doctorkeys9897 Thanks fro your kind reply, I will look with more interest to the PA4X so, even if the price is more than double, and I don't need all the extra features, for me the sound quality came at first place. I have to say anyway from your videos the PA700 don't sound bad at all. I like the CX3 sounds. About After Touch, I read from user manual, at the MIDI features and filters, AT is mentioned in reception. So I guess, playing the PA700 voices from a keyboard with AT, will receive AT commands.

Yes, the Pa700 sounds very good, especially for that price. But ofcoarse the Pa4X sounds a bit better. Why don't you go to your local Korg-dealer to compare them.

@@doctorkeys9897 I had opportunity to play a PA4X that I liked a lot. Never found a PA700 at any local dealer here, unfortunately. Probably if I can find a covenient offer for a PA4X 61 keys I will go for it-even if after 7 years I'm sure Korg is going to release a new high end entertainment workstation.

I have a PA 1000. How do you get the style to save with the sounds you select? I have numerous keyboard sets set up, but the style I select (and tempo!), aren't saved along with the sounds selected....

Клавиатура тяжелее , по сравнению с Ямахами s 700, 750. И кнопки тяжелые какие -то... кнопки "стиль плей, сонг плей, старт, стоп , , педы ,... вообще надо давить... Это только у моего pa 700 или у всех такая фигня? На Ямахах s 700, 750 все кнопки без усилий, а в Корге это напрягает.. и ещё автосбивки по странному срабатывают, особенно на балладах.. если не попал в долю , ломает ритм, выпирает, может нужно в настройках, что-то изменить, пока не в курсе, инструментом пользуюсь третью неделю...а ещё при нажатии на брейк и сразу же повторно нажать, он зацикливается и "брейкает" пока не сменить вариацию...прикольно....в Ямах такого не замечал ..мнение двойственное об этом инструменте, и нравится и не нравится..
@@user-er1or8ui2x Насчет автосбивок я объясняю в одном из роликов на моём канале. То, что я там рассказываю в большинстве случаев подходит для PA700. А клавиатура у Pa700 лёгкая по сравнению с Pa4X.

I'm recording everything I play in the MP3-recorder from the Pa700 keyboard. After I finish playing I synchronize the sound and video in a video-editor on my computer.

Pa1000 is for Yamaha psr SX 900 , I have it and a MODX 7, psr SX 900 is better no doubt

DNC sounds are sounds with built-in effects which you can control with the switches left from the keyboard to make it sound more realistic.

Thanks for your message. The Medeli AKX10 has the mainboard and soundchip from the Yamaha PSR S900 (Yamaha keyboard from 14 years ago) so not realy nice to compare with eachother. I would choose the Pa700 or Pa1000. 😁
