I love it when you have veterans. Statistically speaking they make up the larger portion of defense contractors. Not that that's how that should be, but transitioning out the military is a scary thing so your videos provide some much-needed reassurance. Thank you for doing what you do!
Love this interview fr. Definitely soaked hella game from this! Currently active duty Air Force in the medical field and recently got my Sec+ to change careers into Cyber. Definitely motivated.
I think this is my favorite interview so far! Tons of practical advice given and very motivational. Currently working on transitioning to this field so this was right on time. Thank you Beez! 🙏🏾🔥
Hey Beez, thanks for the video and your insights. Do you happen to have a link to the labs Jay mentioned, Dave Cyberworks? I tried searching on TH-cam but couldn’t find it. Thanks.
Dope interview, got me over here typing notes in my iPhone lol. I’m currently studying for my Security+ at the moment, do you offer any type of mentorship?
I’m a U.S. citizen and I worked as a business analyst, product owner, systems analyst, and agile coach/scrum master for a few years now. Is there government contracting and overseas opportunities in my domain?
Listen hit the nail right on the head. I’m studying A+ now so I can learn the basics. But I won’t get the cert I’ll just move on to the Network + and Security + and obtain those certs. Thanks for the confirmation you two! 🫶🏽
Beez: You inspire me to be great!! Recently passed my Network+ and Security+ Just looking into more practicals/projects. Can you kindly suggest any? You inspire in so many ways. 🙏🏾🙏🏾❤️
Do you think there is room for data science in gov tech? I’m currently working on my MSDS and I study 15-20hrs a week plus work FT and I’m not sure how to pivot from my clinical science background into gov tech.
It’s still 8570 DFARS hasn’t been updated yet so they’re still going by that for contracting. If you go straight to the Feds GS/GG roles that’s already implemented.
@symonebeez actually a few overseas you will find..and that's only because most companies don't even know 8140 was implemented in 2023 which isn't really new. I would blame the government for not enforcing and yes you are right it's the same. With that said where can I sign up for govtech?
I’m about to start a new role as a Security Analyst on Monday!
Nice! Congrats!
Did you have experience before? Would you be willing to share your resume? Or give any tips

The way I hollered at "These people out here collecting certifications like they're Thanos."😂😂😂💀

Nowadays its not enough just to ask "How many years are left on this contract?" With some of these contracts, every year is an option year.

It's not even 8570 anymore. It's 8140
Different number the same certifications. 8140 hasn't even been implemented yet. You won't find a single job posting with 8140 on it.
