I think this is a true makers project. Power tools hand tools lots of tips and ideas for all on this. You are one of the best sir and please just keep doing what you are doing. It would be great if you would show up at makers central next year just so i could meet one of my maker heroes

This is an amazing project! Some tips for those who will embark (pun intended) on this journey: When doing the planking, it's a good idea to sand the bulkheads, beveling the face where the planks will attach, so the curvature of the planks is compatible with it (this helps to do it with less wood filler, which is good if you want to stain the wood). Another thing I like to do is to precut and sand as much as possible before attatching to the boat, so it is easier to fit without a dremel tool or the like.
Done a great job looks nice. When i was 12-15 years old, i made lots of small model boats like this but i don't have the patience now. Have subscribed to your brilliant channel thanks.
Beautiful . We have one of those at the summer ville in Kuşadası . We brought it from the island of samos . Its not a model tho . Its an actual greek fishing boat . It was hard to transport from Greece to Turkey with a yacht but it really was worth it

Makes you wonder, though, how people made these models in the days before Dremels;) I guess a real fishing boat is about 3m long? My Dad knows a chap here who makes fishing boats (full size) that look very similar to the Greek kind; to close up the gaps between the boards, he sinks the newly-made boat in the harbour and lets it soak for a few days. When it's taken out and dried the boards shrink so that they are fantastically tight and without the smallest gap and so are completely water-tight. Do boat-builders do that there?

Me and a friend built a 5 meter canoe using stitch & glue method last year. it was my 1st big refined build. It came out nice. Kids loved it at least. if you ever decide to build it and need a extra pair of hands, contact me.
