Thank you for this video. My son has the exact same bike and same color. I purchased for him Christmas of 2022. A painful $4k. Although he really wanted a Surron, he didn’t want the trouble that it would attract from authorities even though most his friends have a Surron, he decided to get a super 73 Rx instead. He previously had an Ariel rider. Which he relentlessly got teased by mean kids calling it the “anal rider”. Which traumatized him a little. And I wanted this bike to be something he could feel proud and happy about. His beautiful super 73rx in the red wine color (which was the very last one in stock at the time) was delivered 12-30-2022. He was the happiest I’ve ever seen him. As his mother I was so happy to see him so happy. But then…. It started out with a clicking sound right out the box. Motor turning off and on. And then the motor ultimately stopped working. That’s when the problems began. We’ve had to service it multiple times to put in a new wiring harness ($20), controllers v2 ($160), rear wheel motor assembly ($480) also replaced the bike frame since diagnostics showed it was cracked during summer (7-23) - which I’m guessing would have cost an arm and leg had it not, thank god, been all still under warranty. Last week (Oct -2023) now suddenly the new motor stopped working. Every 3-4 months there seems to be a problem with this E-Bike and there’s a waiting list of a month before they can even get to it at Super 73 in Irvine. I’m scared to death because the warranty will end this year and I don’t know if I should sell the bike as soon as possible after we fix the motor - yet again - because we don’t wanna be stuck with endless motor problems. I also feel bad as I don’t want to potentially pass this problem onto another kid either. However my son has also invested about $1000 of his own money into upgrading the bike... which looks super awesome. He doesn’t want to sell his beloved bike either. It’s been an absolute headache because my son’s only transportation to high school and events is his e-bike. He’s very independent and every time it goes down he gets depressed because his peers go on beach ride outs during the weekends and other social events he can’t participate in and most importantly getting to school and home. I wish I had bought him that Surron instead. He’d have a dependable means of fun and transportation that we don’t have to worry about a faulty, problematic motor.
From one Travis to another, thank you for the input. I have 2600 miles on my Malibu and it did the exact same thing you mentioned off the start. Getting ready to put it back together and test it out.
Hello I have rx. But one day it stopped. Display is alive but throtte and pas dead. It is becaus of 2guys ridings on it. What do you think the problem is? Please help me. I think controller is dead.
What’s up Travis? Just ran into you in the drive thru a couple hours ago!! Coincidentally noticed my tail light wasn’t working right before I met you. Which made me think, maybe you might know what’s up with it! Let me know if you wanna meet up sometime. Hopes the RX is back on the road soon
Luke it was good to meet you. Can’t wait for my RX to be out back on the road. Have you tried checking the lights with the volt meter? Also are you a part of the Washington ride group?
@@lukesiddons9933 no you would have to have a volt meter you can work pick one up from any hardware store for less than $30 bucks. Super handy to have around.
Dude I'm having the exact same problem with my rx. I've contacted super73 so in the process of getting bike fixed. But I'm pretty sure I need a new controller

Great video!!! Just subbed!!
Thanks I am making more content now that my V3 is here!
Haven't had problems with my s1, s2 and r
That’s fantastic!
I bought a Lectric xp as my first ebike, I needed a foldable, and it's been great but now I want a second bigger motor, faster bike under $3k....
How is that working out?
I've heard of that problem on super 73s, just why I won't get one of the 73s yet
Any products first launch there will be something. It’s not really a big deal I’m having fun regardless!

I hope you contacted Super 73 support. I know turning the bike off and on again a few times and waiting for the codes to clear will SOMETIMES help.
Thanks!!

Hi super 73 s1 , brake light not working, have now light , new harness , still no brake light, controller ????
I’d put it to a voltmeter and see what it says
is the DC converter necessery to turn on the bike?
If you have a stock bike in the OEM configuration you should have everything you will need. If you are not running OEM equipment it depends.
