Good evening to you. As a former resident of the San Francisco Bay Area for over 35 years, I relocated to Las Vegas in 2011. Since the Pandemic, Vegas is catching up to the cost of living with California very quickly!!! I just turned 51 three weeks ago and I was paying $150 a month for full coverage for two brand new cars with FULL coverage and now I am paying over $305 a month for a 2020 Toyota Corolla as an Ex UPS driver with a perfect driving record of over 35 years!!!! Car registration is double, car insurance is double, utilities are double so as YOU may save on not paying State income tax sounds appealing....YOU will end up spending your money in other areas hands down and the rents have tripled and quadrupled from 2 year ago!!! FYI :(-

Thank you for watching! I agree with you that prices have gone up in recent years but it's far from only a Vegas problem. And I hear you loud and clear on the insurance rates. No accidents here either but rates have gone up. Thank you for sharing your perspective!

If you're conservative and looking for a conservative city to move to, Las Vegas is the city for you! No true blue Democrats in Las Vegas, only DINO's. Lived there for 22 years, I should know.

@@TheRealLasVegas Hardly! Remember when it was ordained there'd be 40 medical marijuana dispensaries in the Las Vegas valley? Want a good laugh? On TV, our flamboyant, supposedly liberal, Mayor Goodman said: There'll be NO medical marijuana dispensaries in the city of Las Vegas! Henderson, even more conservative than Las Vegas, said no as well, and Boulder City! They didn't read the fine print: If there's no dispensary within 20 miles of someone's house, they'd be allowed to grow 7 plants in their house. Voters voted in medical marijuana in the year 2000 and it ONLY took 15 years to open the first dispensary. Only Democrat I'd call a true Democrat in NV is Tick Segerblom. Vegas is the last big city to have any light rail system and last big city to have an art museum. Left for a bluer city, Tucson, 6 years ago, and I knew things are not going to change in a city stuck in the 1960's.
