Moved from LA to Vegas at the end of 2022. I'd take the traffic here over LA anyday of the week. Some of the things that caught me by surprise is the property tax. I actually pay a little more here than in LA. Finding quality healthcare is another challenge. Also the schools here are overcrowded
Spending a large majority of your day in the car when traveling in LA feels like a second job. I'm surprised that the property values are similar. Finding quality healthcare has been my goal for the past few years. Naturopathic medicine, chiropractic & acupuncture has been a lifesaver for us. Thank you for watching and sharing your experience. Do you plan to stay in vegas?
All the Californians have moved here. Food prices are some of the highest in the country. Crime has gone up 90% in some areas. The drivers are reckless and aggressive.
Its challenges everywhere thats life! This is your opinion everyone should make there own decision. Take into consideration your experience but it will have to be up to each person in the end
I completely agree! I can share my experience, but everyone has to decide for themselves if a specific city is right for them. Do you currently live in Las Vegas?
@@TheRealLasVegas we are moving to the area in 4 -6 mos unless a better opportunity appears else where. Personally I like the diversity in Vegas and the many activities and parks

looking at craig’s list , it looks possible to rent a room from a private residence. I am here in Vegas June 24 . Hot 🥵. is that possible to get a rental room for the winter ? from Boston
@@TheRealLasVegas I worked the night shift for 20 years, and I slept during the heat of the day. Retired now, I still sleep all day during the heat of the day, and wake up around 7-8-9pm when the heat if off.
@@TheRealLasVegas No, I really didn't like Las Vegas. Not much to do there, and I'm not into gambling. It's either too hot or too cold. The water there is very hard. Just didn't like it. 😕
Always under-reported is the gusts of wind that come blowing thru the Vegas Valley carrying that fine silica into your lungs. I lived there 22 years and, having COPD, I was tired of wearing a mask on windy days. Much less wind here in Tucson.
@@TheRealLasVegas I was in Phoenix for 3 years and there were higher paying job prospects in Vegas. The only thing I miss about Vegas is the cheap air fares, I made 82 trips to Tijuana during that period looking for sin that Sinless City didn't provide. I came from a city as liberal as San Francisco and I was shocked at the conservatism of Mormon-influenced Las Vegas. Don't tell anyone, but I was born in California in the 70s. I've lived in Vegas since 1980 and have found through the years that Californians find Vegas a breath of fresh air. Will you keep my secret?
We've lived here for the same amount of time. I moved here as a kid in 1980. I had a few hard years but eventually found my community, which made all the difference. What would make you change your mind about Vegas?

How could you possibly be paying more property tax here in Vegas than you did in LA ?
@@JK-zo1pd I can't even imagine how that would be possible.
Great video and thanks to ALL of the wonderful people from California............Vegas has become a suburb of LA!!! :)-

Great video! I will say, the heat was something I couldn't get used to when living in las vegas. Definitely love our Hawai'i weather for sure.

Coming from Northern California, the summer heat in Vegas is no joke, even during the night.
And it can get frigidly cold in Winter, particularly at night.
