Way too insanely hot in the summer and I feel the heat is downplayed compared to the polar vortex back east. The last like 4 months and there isn’t much compassion for the people outside as I saw a person asked to leave a fast food place because didn’t purchase anything and it was 120.

The thought of entertainment, access to Beverly Hills, and travel to other cities in the Southwest is appealing to me. I love the Mountain View’s and palm trees. The only drawback is the desert looks.

Definitely need to research Las Vegas and don’t expect anything said about this place on national news except sports and entertainment. They give little information on the weather especially last summer. It’s way way too hot in summer and the lack of rain is unsustainable. Two million people and no rain since last spring and no wonder people are always sick especially the workers on the strip. Every year someone in the family is sick for Christmas Day as I have two family members working on the strip and they are always sick in winter. And the marijuana smell is bad here. Not good to legalize it with no rain to clean the air. The weather is the least redeeming quality

I think I’m moving out. The absolute insane summer heat and now no rain for 7 months. Looks and feels like an exoplanet. And the influenza is worse here.

I’m a truck driver and pass through Las Vegas at least twice a week and noticed a lot of Hawaiian stickers and flags on construction and tripped out there’s a lot of them in Las Vegas

It’s insanely hot in summer and even the fall. No rain for 6 months so breathing the same recycled air that has a weed smell. Every day seems like someone is killed in a hit and run. Two juveniles last Friday. So a big no thank you

The high interest rates, high insurance rates offset any investment opportunities in Vegas home market. We rent a nice condo, insurance and utilities, gated community, security and covered parking spot. We spend about $24K per year living in our 2br 2ba condo, which includes rent, internet, utilities, covered parking, garbage, mailbox, security and condo insurance/auto insurance. However - Food, gas, entertainment are not included. Auto Insurance here is a big scam. No tickets, no DUI, no accidents, less than 50 miles a day, can easily run $180 per month or more. There's no negotiating or complaining - because all the insurance companies are doing it. We are semi-retried, working par-time, Me & the wife make over $6K a month together, we save as much as we spend. That was our goal Buying a house was not a option for saving money. With current interest rates, insurance, maintenance etc, we calculated a 30 year loan on a $350K home would be well over a million dollars when finally paid off. The home would not be worth anywhere near what we spent by looking in past history. 💝

I have toured the area of summerlin west. I am quite disappointed in the retail and food shopping opportunities. Is there any way to know what will be built in Urban Core and will there be an additional grocery store beyond the one Albertsons?
